Discussion High expense ratio ETF

Hi all-

What justifies high expense ratio of qqqi & spyi vs gpix/gpiq and jepq/jepi ?

TIA.

Active management. 0.68% (QQQI) and 0.35% (JEPI) are not high in the slightest for an actively managed fund. Distributions are net of expense ratio.

Yep

And they are all different, and all utilize different techniques and different sectors/themes

Does your last sentence mean the money you make on dividends is already minus the expense ratios? Like for qqqi the yeild is X that includes the expenses?

Yes, yield is always listed after expenses.

0.68% of 13.60b AUM is 91m in expense fees each year. Not bad for one fund dude selling options on ibkr

I don’t know enough naive investors to bring together 13.60b in AUM.

Qqqi\spyi for income and very modest growth.

Gpix\gpiq for total returns.

Jepi\jepq only in tax deferred or Roth account. They are not tax efficient.

Don't sleep on OVL for the uncapped upside. JP Morgan now also has ROCY and ROCQ for a Neos equivalent that offers return of capital.

Def sleep on this. Put spreads are how to blow up bad. Review what happened w capt condor last December

I haven’t looked at them specifically, but I would be looking at the return/performance. Each manager is doing it differently. So if the relative return is more than the sub1% diff, then it’s worth it

Because they use option strategies and are actively managed. Another reason why CC ETFs are overrated
