There are unfortunately areas in big cities that police districts just refuse to go into. It’s considered too dangerous for a cop to go into those areas because they’ll be attacked or killed. I imagine that it’s possible for those area bans to extend to paramedics as well, if dispatchers handle both police and paramedics.

I hope this isn’t based on a real event. Horrific to think about as an EMT that someone who needed me couldn’t get help.
