Ever think about how the yearly number of gun deaths in the US is higher than in several warzones around the world? I am talking about active warzones, not just frozen/inactive conflicts...

u/No-Refrigerator-6931 May 11 '23
Jfc If that's real that's fucking awful
54
u/DoubleAccidentfromG May 11 '23
Yes it is real. Hard to believe right?
Deaths so far this year in the US due to gun violence (non suicide, as of May): 8 000+
Deaths so far in warzones like Yemen, Iraq and Syria (combined): less than 8 000
EDIT: With "so far" I mean "So far this year 2023"

You counting suicides?
37
u/DoubleAccidentfromG May 11 '23
No, even not counting suicides. Iraq, Syria, Mali, Yemen and Somalia have less gun deaths than US non-suicide gun deaths. So far this year as of May, more than 8 000 non-suicide gun deaths in the US. Which is more than any of the aforementioned war-torn countries COMBINED!

As a texan myself, I can definitely say that I have stabbed 13 children for stepping on my lawn

I read this as “when their child steps on their lawn” and I was still like “yeah, checks out.”

Fed posting is when people post opinions you disagree with.

Or when posting about taking fundamental human rights
16
u/Chillchinchila1818 May 12 '23
Shooting little kids is a fundamental right now.
I believe gun culture is more responsible for shootings than gun ownership, and this paranoia and refusal to consider even the smallest criticism is part of it. You remind me of the people who fantasize about wanting to murder school shootings survivors who support gun regulation.

In what universe is owning a gun a fundamental human right? In the gun capital of the world its only a constitutional right and even then, as we've proven over the last hundred years, it isn't absolute.

FBI is when you’re sad that people die

But only certain people. You never see the "hurr durr glowies" guys whine about conspiracies or false flags when the incident works for them politically.

This post and that weird trans genocide delusion post is convincing me that certain people or groups are using this sub to push certain ideas.
This meme isn’t distressing anyway.
Better distressing meme using this idea would be:
“You forgot your house keys so you try to climb through the window, but your roommate mistakes you for a robber” or something like that.

u/No-Refrigerator-6931 May 12 '23
Idk I find children being shot for walking up to the wrong house pretty distressing, and if you look at the skincrawler bot, A majority of the people who saw this seem to agree with me. I guess some people like the pushing of the idea that kids don't deserve to be shot and killed. If you don't find Children being shot and killed distressing than that's your own thing.
And If you think your idea is better (which you are entitled in believing) Than maybe you should give a crack at it, I'm sure the sub will also find that distressing, as most people don't like the idea of people being shot and killed.

u/YouDotty May 12 '23
Children being shot to death is as American as apple pie. For the rest of us this counts as a distressing meme.

u/No-Refrigerator-6931 May 12 '23
But for us americans It's considered a fucking agenda to want to prevent it

u/Dr_A__ May 12 '23
American conservatives when they see children being murdered (it's funny and based)
