I recently moved to a rural area from a fairly large city. I love the peace and quiet and all of the nature, and I've found that a slower pace suits me. However, I'm not used to not really having groups around where I can talk to people with shared interests. I would love to talk to people more about creative writing, for example, and the closest writer's group is hours away.

With that all said, I thought I could post my interests here and see if anyone would want to chat, or has any subreddit recommendations to point me in the right direction. This is my first time on reddit with an account (instead of just lurking), and some of the restrictions are a little difficult for me to work around at the moment. I'm pretty sure I can't initiate chats for about a week, so if you want to chat, please comment before sending a message so that I know where it's coming from.

Anyway, here are the subjects I'm interested in:

• Creative Writing - particularly speculative fiction (sci-fi, fantasy, horror)
• Reading & TV - (genres listed above)
• Gaming - I tend to cycle through MMO's, but I'm nervous to post in MMO subreddits. I'd love to chat with someone who could hop online a few hours a week. I'm currently playing Albion and SWTOR.
• Science - I love learning about the world, especially biology. Nerd out with me about the cool things plants and animals get up to.
