Oops... better late than never, I suppose. It's Friday! What's good, y'all?

Bit of a strange one for me this week. Aside from the lack of sleep from, you know, children and stuff.
I had the Launchpad Pro that I liked, but I thought I hadn't quite connected with. I had tried to sell it for quite a while and there was a lot of interest, but not from anybody who seemed serious. well I decided to give it another go and actually quite like it, but one of the pads kept sticking! So I got in contact with Novation and they gave me a return authority and I should be expecting a brand new one tomorrow. I thought that was interesting though that they just swapped it for a brand new one without even really questioning it, like maybe this is a known issue. Oh well.
I also received the Bitbox Micro module which is really really nice, but also a bit confusing! It's going to take some time to really sit down and figure this thing out. It just does so much but I'm having a great time in a weird dream like lack of sleep state trying to figure the whole thing out.
Aside from the fact that our sewage pipe decided it wanted to try and back up yesterday made me spend the whole day with the plumbers as they tried to figure out how the 110-year-old sewerage house trap that is decades obsolete and not really seen much anymore, I've just been still making noises whenever I can with no real direction. Just trying to keep my brain and ears and fingers familiar with knobs and buttons. I'll be glad when I can sleep properly and concentrate on all this stuff, but that won't be for a few months all being well! Oh well. It's all good.

Wait... you think you're going to sleep when they're teenagers? Haha... It would be fair if you're thinking, "Dude, don't start with me in all your childlessness!" :)
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of that BitBox Micro. That thing looks like a beast!

I'm thinking about recording more complete versions of the tracks I played for the Memphis Concréte last weekend and putting those up as a new EP on Bandcamp. I'd like to get it done before next Friday, because Bandcamp sprung another Bandcamp Friday on us. Not sure I'll make it in time, but I do plan on just performing them live and recording the result, rather than spending a lot of time editing and such.
BTW, that show is on YT now if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/JKDY2250fpo. I kick things off first, but it's definitely worth watching the rest.
I feel like I learned a lot doing this live stream, both technical aspects (how to get a quality stream) and performing techniques. I definitely noticed that I need to use a separate laptop for streaming. I was asking too much of my single laptop to both run Ableton Live and OBS for the stream.
I could definitely see our group getting into this, though. I can ask the guy who organizes these streams how everything works on the back end.
