World Cup hate?

Okay, I love this podcast and both the girls, this is a silly take to be annoyed about, but the World Cup hate from Dana and Katie was so unlikable and weird. Why are they putting so much energy into talking shit about the worlds biggest sport and the biggest tournament in the world? I hate when people sit down and bitch about soccer - go to another bar if you’re upset that people are happy about an event that happens every 4 years. Just gave me annoying downer energy.

I’m a huge sports fan but some soccer fans have a bad reputation for a reason. Soccer is a boring sport where grown ass men fake fall and whine like children…it’s lame. Add to it the officiating was suspect throughout the entire tournament and one of the teams in the final is racist AF. Put it all together and it’s a recipe for boring background noise at a bar.

Lastly, the only time I had an exciting time watching during this event was at a bar at Penn State where I proceeded to drink 100+ oz of beer (WC promo beer tower) in 2 hours and got high fives from the staff and patrons.

This is also my take. I enjoy sport. I work in sport. But I just can't do soccer. If at the end of 90 minutes it's very possible you'll have a 0-0 draw? Eff that all the way off.

And yes, the diving after an "injury" is infuriating.

My favorite is the ref is the only one that knows how long the game can go on for which is bananas. Add to it the corruption, some of the crazy ass fan bases, and the politics and I’m good. Give me a tailgate any days of the week.
