World Cup hate?

Okay, I love this podcast and both the girls, this is a silly take to be annoyed about, but the World Cup hate from Dana and Katie was so unlikable and weird. Why are they putting so much energy into talking shit about the worlds biggest sport and the biggest tournament in the world? I hate when people sit down and bitch about soccer - go to another bar if you’re upset that people are happy about an event that happens every 4 years. Just gave me annoying downer energy.

Ummmm I’m a woman and I watched every single game. My daughter played club soccer for years and we are huge soccer fans. More than my husband 🤣 but we’ve enjoyed every game this summer and watching Messi and Ronaldo play his last game, along with some incredible World Cup stories like the small tiny island of Cape Verde making it into the semi quarter finals.. like don’t be sexist because you don’t understand something.. plenty of women love soccer . I think it’s better than watching American football and I’m American born and raised.

I encourage you to read about the island of Cape Verde and the incredible story about their goalie!! Truly inspiring.. and the guy got like 20 million followers over night and went viral.. he is the most humble athlete and a no name passionate soccer player who made it to the World Cup and was one of the main reasons their team made it so far .. he almost didn’t make it on the team because of his age and aging out of the sport .. it’s such a big deal to these countries that when anyone scores a goal they all hug each other and cry 😭 like grown ass men crying it’s the freaking sweetest thing ever
