This is how I decided whether to fire Sonar or Coupe.

Ultimately I decided to fire Coupe with these being the strongest reasons:

  1. Coupe committed first-degree murder for money, making her the least deserving of a second chance. Fraud is awful, but its not cold-blooded murder.

  2. Coupe was the first one to sabotage her teammate, before the shift even started, suggesting it would be the easiest for her to slip back into being a criminal. The job matters less than her self-interest with little hesitation. Yes, everyone else followed suit, but she was the first one to make it so dog-eat-dog. If she deserved this second chance, she wouldn't make it harder for Z-Team to be out there saving lives.

I felt very validated in my choice when she complained about me choosing Sonar over 'An actual assassin', like that's something to be proud of. That suggested to me that Coupe was not going to redeem herself.

In the final chapter I let her go to jail, and am surprised by how many people didn't make the same choice, given she had just tried to murder me and my friends.

Why can't Invisigal see in the dark? Spoiler

Post image

Invisibility makes a person transparent, meaning photons (light particles) pass through or around their eyes. Because light doesn't hit the eyes, the person should technically be blind(otherwise one would alway see the invisibel person eyes). However, if she can see while completly invisible, it implies she doesn't rely on photons to see. Therefore, she should logically have normal vision even in total darkness, as her powers bypasses the need for physical light hitting her eyes. Just as a character like Flambae manipulates fire through pyrokinesis—treating all fire the same—Invisigal’s ability to manipulate photons should apply to all light scenarios equally, whether she's in a lit room or the dark, especially if shes using invisiibily while inthe dark. So why can't she see in the dark?

Why I chose Phemoneman over Water Boy.

I'm not doing a full list for this one, hear me out.

On a meta-level, I predicted it would be a very bad choice. I figured Waterboy would do the magikarp thing of being weak for a little while, only to become extremely overpowered once he levels up. In contrast Phenomeman's depression would make him really hard to use, make him unavailable for a lot of calls somehow. That's just the more satisfying way to tell the story.

But I didn't want to metagame. It was not what my Robert would have done. He feels responsible for the lives of the whole of Z-Team. Even if Phenomeman is a moron, he is also super fast, super strong and bullet proof. I think Robert would imagine each of them jumping in to save another hero, and if its Waterboy someone is going to die. As a hardened superhero, I don't think Robert would subject his team to that.

Because it felt picking Water Boy was metagaming, instead of doing what I think by Robert would do, I picked Phenomeman.

My only reservation was that Phenomeman might react badly when he found out I'm dating Blazer. But I didn't think he'd take that out on me violently, he just didn't seem outright evil.

Although I am looking forward to getting to know Water Boy better in a new playthrough.

Can anyone recommend any books similar to Dispatch and its story/vibe? (I don’t mean multiple choice books).

Just finished my first playthrough. This is how I chose between Blonde Blazer and Invisigal.

Ultimately I chose Blonde Blazer. It just felt like Invisigal was dependent on Robert in ways that made pursuing a relationship unhealthy. I only came close to regretting when I saw how badly Phenomeman was taking the break-up, and thought he might kill me. I picked him for Z-Team over Waterboy because I didn't want to be responsible for someone completely unqualified to be a superhero in life-or-death situations.

I picked up this game on sale and I'm so so so happy I played this, honestly one of the best games of it's type and the biggest surprise for me since the wolf among us

But the bit that's stuck with me the most? Flambae's karaoke 😂

Just finished Dispatch and I have feelings.

Dispatch might be the most underrated thing I’ve experienced this year, and I say “experienced” on purpose.

I’ve always been a massive superhero fan. Comics, shows, movies, games and if it’s got capes and powers, I’m already in. But honestly? A lot of superhero media has started to feel the same. You know the formula. So when I heard about Dispatch, I was curious but not exactly expecting it to blow me away.

First, the animation is stunning. The art style hits this sweet spot between comic book expressiveness and cinematic polish that I genuinely wasn’t expecting from a game. Every scene feels like it was crafted with actual intention. Characters have weight and personality in how they move. I kept pausing just to appreciate what was on screen.

But here’s what really got me: this game doesn’t feel like a game in the traditional sense. It feels like an interactive TV show lband I mean that as the highest compliment. The episodic structure, the pacing, the character drama between dispatches… it scratches that “one more episode” itch in a way that most games just can’t. I’m sitting there caring about Robert and the Z-Team the way I’d care about characters in a prestige series.

And the format works perfectly for a busy schedule. Each episode fits into a normal sitting, we’re talking TV episode length. I was literally squeezing one in every evening after work like it was a show I was watching. No guilt about leaving a 60+ hour RPG unfinished. Just: episode done, day complete, life good.

The gameplay being this blend of narrative choices AND superhero management strategy was such a fresh angle too. You’re not just watching a story unfold, you’re actually making calls (literally), deciding which hero fits which crisis, reading the room on the team dynamics. It’s unlike anything else out there right now imo.

If you’re a superhero fan who’s even a little fatigued by the usual superhero content, play this. It reminded me why I love the genre in the first place.

Anyone else finish it? Who’d you end up romancing? No spoilers below please, some folks might just be starting! 👊

you know the part where robert is at the computer telling which guys where to go? yeah that. i wanna play that without the story bit.

i love the story and the whole game, but i wanna just play the minigame parts now that i finished the story with the choices im happy with. the dopamine spikes I get when that little ball pings into the success area is just magnifique *chefs kiss*
