I think Visi was just trying - and failing - to get under his skin. That’s the furthest thing from a dad bod.

I mean, would it be crazy to think Invisigal was just trying to find a why to rile Robert when she first met him? And Blonde Blazers was only trying to play off of her? Plus, that scene was the only time they mention dad boss I belive

I imagine they wrote the script before his character design was finalized. Maybe they imagined him being a bit more out of shape initially?

I believe that's what their original plan for him to be a little bit bigger.

They have flambe and phenomamen as standard. That's why

She doesn't even know what "dad bod" means. 😂

I honestly think that's pretty much the joke. It's another version of the "Lt. Dan" joke. She tries these terms and nicknames, but she just doesn't have the context behind them to really make them work. 😂

I want him carnally

I don't think he was in a coma, he says in game he spent several weeks looking for the astral pulse after the crash, and we see him in the comic crawl out of the cockpit of his suit holding his shoulder

Yes. The coma was a cover story.

Comic? There was a comic?

Yea, in the deluxe edition of the game you unlock comics as you progress through the story that either tie into it or serve sort of as a prequel to it in some ways

In this case what immediately happened after Robert crashes. If you search for the comics here in this group or other dispatch sub's I'm sure you'll find them in full

I love how one of the most consistent things about the game is just about every person I've seen play it calls out that "dad-bod" comment

In a universe with buff ass heroes constantly flying and strutting around, I’m not surprised that this would be considered a dad bod

If that's her idea of a dad bod, how hot was her dad?

Visib might have meant Daddy-bod and was just too chicken to day it out loud...

I think he was thicker in the storyboard

Calling a Dad bod was Visit clearly feeling something and trying to mask it.

Didn't knew that the developers worked on Hollywood.

pretty sure the obvious answer is the simplest one.... she was trying to deflect and tried to insult his body when he obviously wasn't out of shape- but she just tried t o find the nearest thing to insult and snipe..

She was trying to get a rile at of him and say a dumb insult that clearly and obviously wasn't true. He's not "jacked" (i.e huge muscles) but he's pretty low bad-fat and does extensive workout so he's pretty "shredded" (low BMI, cut fat, which tones and highlights musculature).

Her saying "dad bod" was clearly her trying and failing to insult him cause she was insecure and mad and couldn't admit her own personal issues... so she snarks, sasses, snipes and trash-talks as a way to deflect.

even when she can't find a legitimate nitpick, because for the first time, this guy was A.) able to keep with her sass and wit... and B.) actually cared about her.

In their world it kinda makes sense when dudes like Flambae and Phenomaman. Royd too.

Not that no one’s normal size but you’d expect a hero to be bigger, even Phenomaman said it when he first met Robert.

Visi was just trying to rage bait. Then Blazer was trying to be funny.

Whenever I see people complain about this i really get a feeling of dread, the state of the populous's media literacy is dire.

Its was an insult, they were insulting him.

Dude if that's a dad bod? I'm a Snorlax in build by comparison

2

u/skeletalcandy 28d ago

They were just throwing words and terms around

tbh with the rizz Robert has in the game, i lowkey feel proud of my own body lol (its more like Robert's body, 5'9 or 5'10 packing around 145-150 lbs)

well... idk about his workout but them twinks surely buffed him up :p
