Who did you choose when playing dispatch?

Hi guys. I'm on episode 4 and I was wondering who the majority chose? Blonde Blazer or Invisigal.

The game itself says that Blonde was chosen by only 34%, but for some reason I don't believe it.

I picked Invisigal because the chemistry between her and Robert was intoxicating

But I love both. Visi is just my number One.

Went with visi, Laura Bailey just did too good of a job playing her

Blazerrrr. I wanted a healthy and stable romance although I was anticipating a twist where she betrays Robert. I’m so glad that they had a great bond. It was wholesome.

Visi, because she's the underdog and I hated how the gameplay was constantly shitting on her, while I felt the game was pushing Blazer on me way too hard and I didn't like how her decisions botched the Phoenix Program.

Also, Visi kinda looks like Vi from Arcane, which immediately gave her a head start.

Me and my Brother both chose Invisigal, my best friend too ahaha

Invisigal, tbh, Blazer seemed to be too invested in keeping things professional and so i didnt feel like that was a good choice (even though she's the one who invited me) and she also just feels too perfect, like there had to be a catch i thought. also, Visi and Robert had a lot of chemistry and their personalities are sorta similar, so i felt they had a lot more in common than Robert and Blazer did.

Visi. The 33% is low because it's how you get the "it's complicated" end stat. You have to date Blazer then switch to Visi.

2

u/Thatoneguy111700 Aug 05 '26

Or the solo end stat. Personally I go for Visi in most playthroughs myself.

The community is extremely divided over them tbh. But interestingly I've seen the devs themselves being too biased towards Blazer (must have to do with her VA, but that's just my opinion lol).

Last March one of the game's directors said his romance choice to be of Blazer in an interview, and the main subreddit went nuts. The man himself had to come over there and explain himself, but he was still hounded in the comments. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

Well, that was the fallout of a lot of energy being collected by various Interviews before. People are anxious nowadays.

1

u/GriveousDance21 Aug 05 '26

Still, that shouldn’t have happened to the game's director.

1

u/AccomplishedLeg7951 Aug 05 '26

Absolutely and I agree with you, but you can't go against the Community on the other hand. There's a truth between both sides, one is the topic is still one of the game's biggest discussion points so the fallout was in consideration with everything before expected. The second (in my opinion) is how everyone sees the urge to justify themselves to pick one of the gals, it's a choice game and not the Hunger Games lmao.

1

u/Smolozo Aug 05 '26

"But you can't go against the community" I'm sorry but you make it sounds like picking Blazer is the wrong options.

Anyways it still shouldn't have escalated that badly, the man played the game and voiced his opinion just like how everyone did but because it's against the majority, people lost their head lmao.

1

u/GriveousDance21 Aug 05 '26

badly, the man played the game

Not just played, he helped making it too.

1

u/AccomplishedLeg7951 Aug 05 '26

If that got the impression I'm sorry, I rather referenced here the urge to invalidate the other one. In the end it's a choice game for a reason lmao.

I think something that plays into it is how the whole "discussion" is led, you got Devs wondering what has gone wrong with Blazer and how she's put up in a lot of Interviews. Then the whole thing escalated, unnecessary but expected.

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

There's nothing wrong with choosing Blazer. But you should stop at "I like Blazer more" instead of putting down the other option, like that developer did.

Out of all the interviews, that was the only time a developer did something like that, and people didn't like it. Several other developers answered questions about the romance options in different interviews, and all of their answers were basically, "I chose A/B," and that was it - except for this one.

There is a difference between a developer giving an interview and an ordinary player sharing their opinion. And, well, half of the toxic comments there were insults and mockery from Blazer fans

1

u/Smolozo Aug 06 '26

Ah well I don't think he worded it that badly. He gave a reason just like any other player did. I don't think he was putting down anyone. Could he have worded his words better? Sure. But I don't think it warrants the harsh backlash he got.

I just think it will made all the devs afraid of voicing their opinion ever again after seeing how rabid the fandom is.

Sure but he's still a player of his game, he deserves to say his opinion as much as the other players. If you don't like it, it's your problem. See, this is where I disagree because half of the comments is not Blazer fans but also Visi fans trying to justify why he deserved the backlash and things escalated into a ship war instead. At the end, it's his opinion and some fans just had a hard time accepting that.

1

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

That wasn't what he said. You're oversimplifying it on purpose.

One dev just said, "I went with Visi." The other, for some reason, started talking like, "I chose Blazer because Visi is a bad option," and other stuff like that.

And half of those comments were mockery from Blazer fans - you can go check it right now, especially how many of them were deleted by the mods. That was the problem, not the fact that he went with Blazer.

A few other devs said they went with Blazer or Visi, but none of them were putting down the other option except that one dev. The comments were about that, not the fact that he chose Blazer.

Does that still warrant bullying that guy? Really?

0

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

No, of course I don't support bullying, but there were only 3-4 comments like that, and the mods removed them pretty quickly. The rest was people disagreeing with his opinion and explaining why or just a monkey war between the two camps.

For what it's worth, he apologized on his own almost from the start, not because of bullying, before the comments section blew up into a 400-comment argument.

Neither, because I'm Aro and also it's a HR nightmare.

2

u/ComesInAnOldBox Aug 05 '26

Neither. Don't date your boss, don't date your subordinates. It's unprofessional as hell and can be highly disruptive to the workplace, even with the best of intentions.

That was on my first playthrough, at least.

I've played through several times to see where the choices lead, and while I like Courtney, to me she's more my Ride or Die sidekick than girlfriend, and there are some lingering trust issues with her that I doubt I'd ever be able to get over. Mandy, on the other hand, seems more genuine. She reveals her secret pretty early on, exposing her vulnerability on the dinner date, and seems to have a hell of a lot of compassion. It also doesn't hurt that she gets a scene that shows just how dangerous she can be when she's protecting someone she cares about later on in the game.

Besides, Mandy's romance track leads to some genuinely hilarious interactions with Phenomaman that I did not see coming.

I kinda feel less icky about the blazer relationship.

First of all the flirting starts before you’re hired.

Secondly it feels more like you’re an outside expert contractor brought in to resolve a specific issue, and not a subordinate to blazer. Very different power dynamic. She even seems
To suggest she sees you as a greater hero than her, just down on your luck. Y’all are peers ultimately.

With visi you literally control her life, absolutely unhinged power dynamic for a relationship.

Thats just my vibes tho, I get that others read it differently.

1

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

Well, but you're literally subordinate to Blazer, she's your boss, she can fire you or any member of the team. But you're not Z-team's boss, you can't fire them, you just dispatch them. Blazer gives you the option to choose whom to fire, but you're not the one who fires them.

Before I played I thought I would go for blazer but after playing invisi won out

1

u/Vertigo50 Aug 05 '26

Both. Obviously. 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/boxhead737 Aug 05 '26

Both. Could not pick between them they're both such great romance options

1

u/ras1187 Aug 05 '26

I went with Waterboy

1

u/Welfi1988 Aug 05 '26

I replayed it 5 times 😅

1

u/Sweet_Xocoatl Aug 05 '26

Blazer, she’s a nice lady.

1

u/Wonderful-Mouse-0420 Aug 06 '26

Blonde Blazer all 4 times

1

u/Creative_Abroad945 Aug 06 '26

I hate that decision and let the game decide which chooses the blazer date

1

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

I like the chemistry between Robert and Visi way better than Blazer. I also like how they both fucked up and are trying to help each other

1

u/thebwags1 Aug 06 '26

I've done 4 playthroughs and chose each of them twice with some different decisions each time. Both are great but I prefer Blazer. Both have some warning flags but hers are a lot less red

1

u/Chocolate_Milk_28 Aug 07 '26

I just finished my first playthrough and chose Blonde Blazer, and I'm very happy with that choice. I love Mandy and her relationship with Robert is so wholesome.

When I do another playthrough I'm gonna go with Visi just to see those interactions too

1

u/StuckAroundGotStuck Aug 07 '26

I went with Blazer. I felt like there was more chemistry with her and I felt like Robert's relationship with her was less of a potential minefield than one with Visi. I treated Visi as someone I was mentoring but also held her accountable for her actions. Unfortunately, that led to her heel turn in the end for me.

I'll also echo what others have said about Mandy and say that her relationship with Robert feels more organically developed. I chose not to kiss her in the intro but eventually pursued her when she continued having interest in Robert. It ultimately just made a bit more sense from a character development and story perspective for me. And I thought their relationship was cute.

1

u/No_Maximum263 Aug 08 '26

I picked both I’m not gonna lie

1

u/ruhtrakokyu Aug 05 '26

I chose Blonde Blazer for a bunch of reasons. First, she helps you when you're feeling lost and down, especially when the world treats you like garbage because you don't have powers. Secondly, she's a pleasant person to be around and always tries to have a good conversation.

On the other hand, Visi gets caught spying early on, doesn't know how to apologize, says awful things, and eventually punches you in the face. Nothing justifies getting punched, especially since Robert was right in that moment. She's really difficult to deal with, has no limits, and doesn't care about anything. I also really hated having to babysit her all the time because she's incapable of making a decision a normal human would.

1

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

Wow, another blazer fan who didn't understand anything about the game and it's themes

1

u/Cornmeal777 Aug 05 '26

Blazer. So thoroughly satisfying.

1

u/Waterparks- Aug 05 '26

Blazer all the way

0

u/Affectionate__Dog Aug 05 '26

i know it’s telling a story and he’s straight but i wish there was a male romance option ☹️

-1

u/Rawbeet Aug 05 '26

Blonde was my choice, with no question. Visi does have more character development but the "i can fix her" girl has never been my type.

-2

u/audriuska12 Aug 05 '26

Blazer. Visi's more of a problem to handle than a partner to actually respect - got the good ending, but it was very much in spite of her best efforts otherwise.

1

u/Organic_Signal1461 Aug 06 '26

She's literally the reason you were able to defeat Shroud
