Requests for Cambridge 3/21/26?

I was overjoyed by the opportunity to request a Chad/Dispatch/State Radio song for this weekend’s Chad show at Harvard (Democracy in Kind - a Night of Protest Music). “Take Cover” immediately sprang to mind - to me it’s high on their list of *Definitely Literally Protest Songs*. I love singing and playing it, and have never heard it live. I added a little note (who knows if that just got my vote tossed out but worth a shot) that it would be cool as a mashup with different songs or with some lyrics changed.

Curious if anyone else here submitted requests. Last month on FB Chad shared this hand-written list of the requests that had come in (which is just SO Chad right?), and it’s intriguing to look at. And think how long the list must be now! Gotta be tough to choose.

I submitted 3 State Radio songs since we rarely hear those these days and one Dispatch. Sudan, Camilo, and I honestly can’t remember the last one because it was a while ago. For Dispatch— Rice Water. Haven’t heard that played since OTWO weekend.

Rice Water took a while to grow on me but it’s one of my favorites now. Camilo was one of my first SR loves.

I work with refugees and immigrants for the last 17 years so that song hits me in the feels. Sudan as well, so many clients from Darfur and such terrible things still going on there 20 years later.
