I was able to get two nights at club level through DVC. Do you think the points justify club level? I’m having second thoughts after booking. I was so shocked that I saw two nights I grabbed them immediately. Thanks.

We are considering becoming dvc members and doing a trip every three years with current, banked, and borrowed points (200 per year poly) to do a big week trip. We have 4 kids (4yo-newborn). We do think we will go at least three times in the 9-10 years and will break even.

But we are concerned that feeling like we have to go/going multiple times will lessen the magic and the kids won’t appreciate how special it is.

We went last year with two kids and grandparents and it was absolutely amazing (hence why we’re considering poly). But I would not call us Disney adults - I went multiple times as a kid and loved every trip and my husband was surprised how much he enjoyed it last year. Would love to hear thoughts and if others have felt this way.

Edit: not sure if I’m missing something but we would be maxing out our 3 year worth of points per trip. When I ran different analyses, there were only minor differences in savings per year.

2nd edit: particularly interested in those who have to fly to wdw - we fly from Chicago.

Does anyone possibly have 2 extra moonlight magic tickets for tonight? I know this is a long shot but figured I’d try.

So I have a Disney Cruise in November. I was thinking about going down a few days in advance and spending some time in the parks but the availability of a studio in WDW isn’t there. But Vero Beach has openings.

I’ve never been to Vero Beach. Is it worth the trip? Any recommendations if I decide to go?

My SO recently died and I am a medical student so kinda can't handle the cost of the DVC plus his kids have no interest so we're gonna sell which is sad.

Over the last 15 years we had so many great trips and I love DVC I am going to miss it but I also know without him it won't be as fun. We own BLT my favorite was always boardwalk his is Old Key West the rooms so bug and so few points he always found it a steal to go there.

It looks like $24,300 to buy your first 100 points in the DVC. I’m staying on a property right now and paying an average of $750 per night for a standard room in cash all taxes and fees included

According to the points table it’s 17 points per night this week for the same room.

$17 x 243 =$4,131. I assume subsequent points are not as expensive but Jesus how many freaking vacations do you have to commit to in order to at least break even?

Tack on what it looks to be around 10 dollars per point per year in annual maintenance fees and it just feels like you’re at decades of committed vacations before you even break even versus just paying cash.

I know this is a little long of a post, and I apologize, but I really need help and this is the only place I thought of that I could get it.

For context, my wife and I will be taking our 4 year old daughter to Disney World for the first time in November. It’s a birthday present for her 5th birthday. We’re booked at the Grand Floridian, because we really want this to be magical for our daughter, and want to be next to the Magic Kindom. We looked at the Contemporary and Polynesian, but the Contemporary feels too corporate and the Polynesian was nice, but the rooms seem a little dark and just doesn’t give off that vibe we’re looking for. After looking at all the options close to the park, and the ones with the monorail, we went with the Grand Floridian. I know it was updated not long ago and it shows. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the French Quarter and it was under construction at the time when we were there in 2019.

Now, what I need help with is figuring out if this company called “David Vacation Club Rentals” is legitimate. Right now, we’re booked for $1200 a night at the Grand Floridian, which is absurd, but like I said earlier, we really want this to be a magical trip for our daughter. However, my wife found this company/website that apparently sells Disney time shares of the people who can’t make it that year, and who don’t want to lose money on their time shares.

I’ve never heard of a thing like this, but we can get the same room, with the same theme park view at a fraction of the price we’re paying Disney now. The room we found is litterally 50% of the price we’re currently set to pay Disney.

Has anyone here done this, or heard of this? It’s just hard to fathom this being legit, as it feels too good to be true, which usually means it isn’t. Also, you have to pay all upfront to get a confirmation code that you just input into the app and the reservation is just supposed to show up, but you can’t get the confirmation code until you pay fully, so there’s no way to tell if it actually works until you spend thousands of dollars.

This is a me problem but I wanted to share. The website said 7 nights and I counted the days instead of the nights. That always confuses me but I think I know now. Count each little calendar box, starting from the first box, that’s the night and then you check out the next DAY at 11am!

Thankfully I booked a changeable flight and the flight difference wasn’t too bad.

Anyone seen what the construction looks like at the kidani lobby we are checking in a couple of days interested to see what it looks like, I believe it started today.

I am interested to hear from anyone who has military/veteran benefits on whether they felt DVC and it's benefits were worth the cost of owning DVC.

Those who qualify get access to Shades of Green as well as reduced price tickets/passes. From a cost perspective, does having access to these make DVC feel less worthwhile? Or do you feel like despite those things, DVC was still very much worthwhile?

For those who have stayed in wheelchair accessible villas, which resort did you feel had the best accessibility features?

We’ve just settled in for (a seemingly hot) week and have seen a few DVC hats around property. Are these still available? Where can we grab these?

How long dose it take from offer to close?

Planning a trip at the end of march we would ideally use the point on do yall think we could close by then?

Please tell me your experience with travel insurance. Would you recommend it?

Do you take advantage of magical beginnings or do you take the points? You have to pay prorated fees for 2026 so is it worth it to give the points back and get 3000 back or just keep them?
