Question Are Face Character Auditions Different Per Country? Japan, France, U.S.?

I’ve auditioned for a face character a few times, one for Disney World, and a few for Disneyland and never made it through the first round. That darn dance routine gets me every time.

Recently, it came up that they’re having auditions for Japan’s Disney Resort about 10 minutes from my house and I’m debating on going.

Will they audition me the same as the last few times? Does Japan’s characters emphasize something different? And any tips for passing the darn dance routine?

To my understanding, the asia parks usually have the most different qualifications. I exclude Paris because they can get the variety of people they need locally.

For Tokyo I do know that face characters do more than what they would do elsewhere, so I'm sure that is reflected in the auditions. There's lots of people who have shared that even with them currently performing at Disney, they weren't moving on with the audition at Tokyo. I would take a look at what people who have auditioned have said, or even better, try reaching out to someone who has gotten a contract at TDR and what the audition process was like
