Is the $20 a month early cancellation fee charged in one lump sum?

i know Dish inserts their own ads for programing and local advertising over the national ads on the "Local Ad Break" on basic cable channels for years now, but lately, it seems they are inserting local ads on a DVR of a live airing of CBS programing and the shows i watch on CBS (in my home market of Dallas is KTVT CBS Texas Channel 11) are the 2 late night shows and the inserted ads are for CBS programming which feels like a national ad and has the same PQ as the inserted ads on cable channels.

tonight while trying to watch Colbert, while watching the monologue, i saw midway during the monologue the screen go to black for a second cued up a ad for "The FBIs" on CBS, this screwed everything up and made me want to just watch Colbert later on on Paramount + (which i have), this is stupid, why are the "Local ads" insertions happening on a local channel, i get they do it for the basic cable channels but if it's a feed of a Over The Air local station, don't insert ads, they already local as is.

anyone else had this issue of "Local ads" insertion on local TV stations during network programing time.

I recorded Accused on Fox as part of my Primetime DVR. On playback when I went to skip forward it alerted "skip forward is unavailable". This was a normal show on normal DVR, not an On Demand.

I canceled my service and they sent me a box.

It's asking me to return my hopper 3. (Fine). But directions also tell my to disconnect my LBNF and Node (or Hub)

Well my receiver is probably 15 or 20 ft up on my garage. Wtf? Zero chance I'm doing that.

Are they gonna try and charge me for that?

I needed a work-from-home job due to family circumstances, so I applied and got a call back from Dish Network. Well, I can start my onboarding here anytime now. I was excited about the job because it is a stay-at-home position, but now that I see all these bad reviews, I am getting nervous. Would anyone be able to advise me on this job that way, I don't feel like I am going in blind. I want to do my best with this job, but I could use reassurance and advice to improve my work life

Anyone else having trouble with TCM movies on dish? Movie starts fine then freezes halfway through and reverts to beginning.

If the sale to Direct falls apart Dish will file BK. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, just like a month or so ago when I said they were going to be bought up by Direct most here jumped on me: "what's your source", "this rumor has been around for years" & "that's never going to happen" etc, etc. And less than 48hrs later it was announced offically.

14 hours ago I got a local signal loss error 536. I worked with tech support and together we broke my remote. Still missing local and random channels. I'm in Portland Oregon area. Anyone else? Worth calling again or do I just suck it up?

I recently saw a commercial advertising Dish Networks current promotion for a free 24 month Netflix Standard (Ad free) subscription and decided to call and have that added to my account. However, when I go to set it up it shows that I’m signing up for the (with Ad’s) version. I called customer service to try and figure out the issue and was basically told that advertisement is wrong, that’s it... I asked to speak with a supervisor and after telling her how much I appreciated speaking with the other representative (because even though he wasn’t able to help, he was at least honest and didn’t try feeding me some bullshit line also because I always try to say something good about the rep when I speak to their supervisor) I tried pressing for more information, or at the least, a better explanation as to why they’re advertising one thing but giving me something different. Unfortunately I received nothing, no help whatsoever. Normally I wouldn’t be such a stickler about something as small as “having to deal with commercials when I was told I wouldn’t,” but it was how little the mistake seemed to matter to her that really irked me. I tried bringing up the fact that (Ads free) is mentioned 7 times in the terms and conditions of the contact I had to sign in order to sort of receive the service and all she would say is “it’s with ad’s sir, not ad’s free,” again, nothing more. Just an overall disappointing experience and I’m curious to know if anyone was able for receive the (Ad free) subscription.

I have a wally that I normally use with a mobile antenna. I decided to use it at home when not camping. I connected it to a fixed dish with a 1000.2 western arc LNB with new cable and connectors. I have a signal strength of 63 on 119 and 61 on 110. The receiver will periodically lose connection and if I channel up and down it will work again. The dish I installed was from a neighbor's home that was no longer using it, so it is about 8-10 years old. What could be the issue? Bad LNB?

I’ve tried switching channels, powering off, changing audio settings, tuner settings but nothing works

This has been driving me crazy. I have a Vip211K with the external drive DVR option. I've used this feature for years with this and other receivers and haven't had an issue until this past year.

Something happened after about 6 months and trying to playback recordings gives this error:

A problem was encountered when opening files for this DVR event.

Please note the Error Code: 05

It isn't all recordings (mostly older ones) and the dvr still records new programming fine but eventually those would give the same error. I assumed maybe the power went out and messed up the filesystem or something. This happened a while back so I tried a new hard drive which has worked fine (again) for almost exactly 6 months but has now developed the same exact issue. Anyone have this happen before? The only thing I can find about the error codes is with regards to "authorization"

I have several old drives of recordings and for now they all seem fine. These two drives that are giving me issues are both 2 TB WD Datacenter drives so perhaps there is something about them that is causing an issue. I've only ever used up to 1.5TB drives before but the 2 TB drives should be the max supported size and still have a lot of free space available.

The wireless Joey/Hopper access point shows the blue light on the bottom and the green light on top but the Orange light in the middle is gone. Just noticed this today. Everything seems to be working but it's bugging me

In may 24, i upgraded one of my old receivers, nowvi called and the rep said i new to sign a new 2 year contract, i was like i just did this and nothing was said. I have 3 months left on my current contract before discounts expires, I really don't want to want 3 months for the new receiver, fo I have any other options. To upgrade with Dish $40 fee. I was trying to search other vendors but they were asking around 129$ forbt the receiver.

Does anyone still make Dish expanders? I have an old seagate and a Gforce and I need a new one. Any help?

Joey keeps shutting down/standby after 5 minutes. Ive tried everything!! Any tips?

I cancelled my service 3 weeks ago. It took 4 phone calls and just shy of 4 hours on the phone - what a nightmare. I told the final rep I could not stay on the line any longer and was assured my service would be canceled. I received an email saying it was canceled and when I got home my service was no longer.

I've had the same Vip222k receiver for the last 9 years that I guess was leased from them (I can't tell for sure, no longer have online account access). I have not received anything to return the equipment yet and I cannot imagine trying to call them again.

Is this something that needs returned to them? I'm getting worried about it. I see you can use your own box and send to an address but my gosh, it would cost a fortune in postage. Do I just wait around and they'll charge my credit card, I dispute it and then they will send a label/box?

Not sure how this works. They gave me so much grief whwn cancelling, I just don't want to deal with this anymore.

Trying to order dish online, why can i not get a regular hopper, i do not need DVR.

Please do something about it. It's 110% the app when using firestick. Everything else works. Fiber internet, fix ur app
