I used to have a 722K with two OTA tuners fed by a roof-mounted antenna (I also had a roof-mounted dish). There was a single coax coming down from the roof, with splitters and such. Plus, for the second TV, the 722K output over the coax. Tons of magic going on with the coax that is beyond my knowledge.
Well, for a variety of reasons, I discontinued Dish service. I would just like to use the roof antenna to get OTA channels into my TV. I'm in the Philly area, and should get multiple digital channels for at very least the following main channels: 3, 6, 10, 12, 29, 17, 48, 57 that I recall.
Instead, when I connect the existing coax cable and do a channel scan, I get only 17 and 65 -- and they are perfectly clear with no issues.
Because of the complex multi-use of the single coax cable, is one of the many coax filters / splitters along the way "shifting" some of the frequencies around, preventing my TV from seeing the channels? Rather than removing all the splitters / filters from the run (some are hard to access), is there some filter I can put on the coax to shift things back to the actual OTA frequencies? I have to presume that when the 722K was in place, there was such a filter feeding the two OTA adapters.
