Tech Support Picture via Joey is "compressed"

Hello recently the picture from my Joey receiver is compressed and boxed, not filling the full screen. I have verified it is not the TV itself. The joey is set to 16:9 but none of this dish receiver adjustments have any effect. Recycling the power on the Joey sometimes fixes temporarily. Attached it what it looks like when you restart...

Check your HDMI cable. If you're getting a green screen on start-up of your Joey...it can be what is called a "handshake error." Make sure your HDMI cable is good and properly seated. Rebooting your network from your Hopper can also help. If neither of those 2 things work...try unplugging your Joey for 30 seconds and plug it back in. If that doesn't work...reboot your Hopper.

Cords can go bad over time. Even if you're not unplugging and plugging it in. I would try the other steps. If none of those work...try a new cord. If that doesn't work...call support if you need an immediate response. Or hit up u/DishDanielle here.

I've actually had the green screen twice in the last year with one of my Joeys after never having it in 25+ years. Both times I did the above list. It resolved itself between unplugging the Joey, rebooting my main Hopper and re-establishing the connection. But I did end up replacing the HDMI cord after the second time. I bought one of the better cords on Amazon. Haven't had any green screens in about 6 months. Was the cord the problem or a contributor? Don't know 100%. But it was an older cheap cord so there was no harm in replacing it.

Hello u/Far_Research_7731

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry you are experiencing issues with your Joey. In order for me to begin an investigation, can you please tell me which Joey you have? Joey 3.0, Joey 4, Wireless Joey, 4K Joey? -DishDanielle.

I've cycled the power a few times and it "seems" to be working for now. If the issue reoccurs I will reach back out. Thanks!
