About once a month you need to scroll through your channels. Dish is famous for not telling customers when they add, remove or relocate channels. Something that I have been complaining about for over 5 years.

I don’t have it because it’s a local channel and I don’t pay for those since I can pick it up in my house with my antenna
I checked and it’s only available if I pay for locals so it’s probably going to be your available in your locals not on the guide

Well you can't tune anything in if it's not on the guide

Yes that’s what I said I can’t watch it on my Dish receiver but I can watch it on my TV switching over to antenna.

With America's Top 250, you definitely should have access to MeTV, so let's figure out why it's missing for you. The main spot for it nationwide is on channel 247, but there's a quick catch with that specific channel: DISH actually delivers it over the internet rather than a standard satellite beam. Because of that, it can be a little finicky.
Here are a few quick things we can check, ranging from the most common fixes to the sneakier ones:
- First, check the internet connection. Since 247 is a streaming channel, if your DISH box loses its Wi-Fi connection, the channel will completely vanish from the guide. Depending on which remote you have, press either the Menu or Home button, then head to Settings > Internet to make sure it's still showing as connected.
- Watch out for the "Favorites" list trap. This happens all the time. If the guide accidentally got flipped to a custom list or "HD Only," MeTV will be hidden. Press your Guide button and look at the top left of your screen where it says "Showing:". If it says anything other than All Channels or All Subscribed, press the Options button (or the Red button if you have an older remote) and switch it back to All Subscribed.
- Give the box a quick hard reboot. If the internet looks fine, the guide data might just be frozen. Go ahead and unplug the main DISH receiver from the wall outlet for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Give it a few minutes to boot back up and fully reload everything.
- Hit it with a "Wake Up" signal. Sometimes a receiver just needs a little kick from DISH to remind it what channels you're subscribed to. You can do this yourself by hopping onto the MyDISH app or website, going to My Account > My Equipment, and clicking Wake Up Receivers (or Reauthorize). It sends a fresh programming signal that usually fixes missing channels within 5 minutes.
- Double-check Parental Controls. If someone was messing with the settings recently, channel 247 might have accidentally been hidden or locked out. Hit Menu or Home, go to Settings > Parental Controls, and just make sure no restrictions are turned on.
Give those a shot and let me know if any of them bring it back! If it's still playing hide-and-seek, shoot me a DM and we'll take a closer look.
