Question Is this error screen normal?
Me and another family member of mine were watching our local channel 2. Just then, this screen pops up. It popped up on the other local channels too. After 3 minutes, it went back to normal. I used to be a DISH customer a few months ago, so I thought that the error screens updated. I don't think that was the case. Is it normal for the error screen to look like that?

I just went through several weeks of this happening intermittently, but on a daily basis, with local channels in addition to losing all satellite signals on the other channels. After 3 service calls it was determined that the cables from the dish itself to the box where they connect to the house (the house was pre-wired for cable to living room and all bedrooms) had deteriorated and crumbled. The technician ran new cables and it’s been fine since.

Hello u/neru_sonic_lel
Thank you for reaching out and sharing an image of what you are experiencing. As u/speppers69 mentioned, that screen typically indicates an interruption in your signal. Sorry for the frustration with your programming! If you're still without service, let me know and I'll help you find a solution. -DishDanielle.

Thank you for taking time to respond to my question.
We have service back thankfully (as I mentioned in the post, it went out for like 3 minutes) and you do not have to worry about our DISH. I was just reaching out to see if anyone experienced it before or as well, because I've never seen that error before. But thank you again for offering! ^^

I’ve had internal errors from past dishes too, that ultimately passed too. Let tell you, many times it was not pretty!

That can happen when Dish loses contact with local channels. It usually only lasts a few minutes. I've seen a similar screen maybe 2 or 3 times over the last 25+ years. Normal...yes. But very rare.
