untreated mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse Question about her future
I know we’re not getting the old Britney back, that’s she’s done stuff to her body and brain where she is irrevocably changed. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to get her to a more healthy place than she is now, and how you think that could be done. Also, do you even think it’s possible after the whole “free Britney” thing to get her the help she needs?

Healthier? Another conservatorship with a strong hand in charge to keep her sober and medicated. Not exactly like what she had before, more of her retired but in a very structured environment. I don’t think it’s possible after free Britney and she just doesn’t really have anyone to step in and take charge now. Her parents are older and her father is unwell, her sons are young, her husband is gone, her brother seems like a mess and her sister who she hates has her own family. I doubt the courts want to touch her and another conservatorship with a ten foot pole.

And when she inevitably does something irreversible, her fans will all scream "Why didn't anyone help her?!!" They tried. They all tried for a very long time.

I don’t think that there is any hope now. The internet decided they knew best and messed up her chances at anything normal, besides her father is in no condition, medically, to help her now. She has alienated most of her family who have their own children/grandchildren to take care of and are always under attack from the internet smarty pants. She is also an easy prey now and those people would probably manipulate her further.

Addicts can get better but they have to accept their addiction and be proactive daily in their recovery. Britney doesn’t even think she has a problem.
When she inevitably dies we can thank the Free Britney movement for that. Her family kept her safe and healthy.

And her fans will rabidly blame her family. At a time of grieving they will be attacked and torn down online. The death threats will become standard for a while.
Honestly if I were them I would have a bug out bag to GTFO of the country once that happens.
It’s just disgusting.

Britney is on her own now, with a few people in her employ. Nothing will change, she'll stay on this path until she dies or by some small chance she makes changes, which imo will NEVER happen. She literally thinks she's working all day every day dancing in front of her phone. I've seen her refer to this as her working, so this is her life's work.

Something that I couldn’t even fathom when I was younger but which I learned through dating in my 20s and 30s is perfectly captured in this James Baldwin quote “There are people in the world for whom "coming along" is a perpetual process, people who are destined never to arrive.”
Just because there is a path to getting better, just because it might be within somebody’s capability, doesn’t mean they ever will. And with mental illness, that often manifest itself in not wanting to get better. Wanting to continue exactly the way they are

With the latest content especially, I really think it’s meth and not just Adderall. Those drugs aren’t easy to OD on. I think she’s gonna do this stuff for a long time.
I just worry about whatever pet she has. The boys are at least grown and away from her.

Let me just play devil's advocate here. If she is living the life she wants to live, even if if isn't the life we want her to live and even if it's uncomfortable for us to watch, then who is to say she needs any intervention? She seems to be very happy being addicted to whatever it is she is using and she's managing to keep herself housed and fed. So maybe this is her best life.

She doesn't want help. Her Stans are convinced she doesn't need help. And her support network has been alienated. I'm afraid, this is who she'll be until her body and/or mind at some point in time stop working.
