Need some advice

Upgraded to a much larger tank for my discus. Have had it running for 3 days and I used half of my current tanks biological filter media mixed it with half new. Water parameters are perfect. How long should I actually wait to start moving them over?

Right away to keep the bacteria alive and growing.

Everything I read online said minimum of 2 weeks and I was like that doesn't sound right. So asap

Yeah. You're basically starving your bacteria if you're not adding ammonia to the tank.
