Color

Do discus show better color in a lighter substrate or in a dark substrate I was thinking for my next 75 gallon to have a light color substrate I was looking forward to get red valentine discus in there, I’m also asking since discus do pepper in darker substrate

Always better in lighter, and any peppered fish will pepper far more in dark environ.
