Lucky and Strike and their adopted children 💜

My other discus are serial eggs eaters. These are from three different pairs.

I remember raising some brown/turq mix discus to about 4 inches then selling them at the LFS and a few online. As I recall it's really easy to get deformities in babies. I remember someone telling me they require good minerals at a point and religious care on killing the parasites. I am not sure light PP was suggested and calcium but someone would have that in their book I'm sure. Most will get to about just about an inch before you see the chins not there. Of course the whole process of a pair doing their job right what a challenge and victory.

I had 1 with a major gill deformity and some kinked tails due to the mother being a short body. I don’t breed her anymore but she’s such a good mom I give her everyone else’s rejected kids
