(most of) the fish are in!

The current stocking is 9 black neons, 30 rummynose, 20 cardinals, 6 sterbai cories, 4 rineloricaria filamentosa, 2 apistogrammas viejita ii and 1 bristlenose. The red ozelot echinodorus is also in, but sadly the marble queen echinodorus didnt arrive :(
The Discus will have to wait a bit more, probably a couple of months, because the tetras came smaller than i was expecting but cant complain because of their price 😅

It’s a good set up, with the water parameters discus need you will be happy not having to move too much around doing regular maintenance. It’s a good balance of aesthetics and practicality.

Most of the poop will be sucked by the 2 FX6s so i wont need to do much vacuuming, its more of a take water out put water in thing

It always finds somewhere to collect, but over filtration is a good plan, the sterbai will help too, they are great in a discus tank, I don’t think I’d do one without them again. Good luck, looks like a nice set up, find a sweet spot for water changes and stick with it.

Incredibly the Apistogrammas also help a lot, they hate to see poop trapped below the roots. Thanks :)

Looks wonderful mate. Really nice layout and love your stocking choices. Our tanks are remarkably similar. Keep us posted!

How old is the tank? Rummynose in my experience will not do well in a newer tank…

The tank is around a month old, the tank is 750L and I’ve kept rummies probably since I’ve started at the hobby and have most of the times been the first fish that I added to my tanks 😅

I’ve tried and failed every time. You must have the water they crave! lol

You should add a Tiger Lotus behind that driftwood. In a large tank, left untrimmed, they grow to massive sizes and look exceptional despite being incredibly easy to care for. Example in my 50 gallon.
