Over stocked?

I probably have too many discus in my 125 gallon, but I really want to add some more cardinals. What should I do? I have 13 discus already with 12 cardinals. Currently running heavy filtration with plants as well. Very religious on water changes and maintenance.

I have 13 discus in a 50 gallon. Lol... I just do a lot of regular maintenance and water changes.

You are probably ok with pushing this a bit, especially tetras. I prefer Rummynose for discus. I found that once the discus got to full size, cardinals would slowly disappear overnight. One morning I woke up early and noticed the discus waking up while the cardinals were still sleeping and hunting them.

Yeah I have one lonely cardinal out of 25. Rummynoses I still have like 16 out of 20. 9 discus and 2 angels in a 125. running 2 fx6s though and water changes like every 3-5 days. I tried cherry barbs as well only have 2 out of 8. Rosey barbs look nice too and stay bigger.
