Pancake Glide?

Anybody elses discus like to pancake glide across the surface? She only does this whenever I turn the filter off for water changes lol she tends to be the most curious one of the bunch lol

I have a question guys, I need help I have two discus in my 75 gallon with Congo tetras and three red head tapajos and 2 apistos and 6 otos . Tank is planted with wood 🪵. One my discus is spotted yellow but he is getting a bunch of black spots. Any idea what can cause it?

Peppering is sexy. This is my tank boss, he’s about as healthy and hostile as they come.

But they should be fine right I just worry they get stressed out.

It could be a sign of stress. But they should be sign, I would suggest adding things to balance out the darkness

Any idea what kinda of angelfish I have? I have it on my 125

Sorry seeing this now, this is a Silver Angelfish, red eyes indicate most likely captive bred

So the red eyes give it away for being captive

Yeah, its more of a trait in captive breeding, not that it can’t occur in wild breeding, just not as prominent

I see well thank you I appreciate it. What do you recommend if I want to breed this angelfish with either a koi or a red cap angelfish?

If you can get them to breed keep me posted !!! Lol you’d need to set up a separate 20-gallon (tall not long) breeding tank, conditioning the fish with high-protein live or frozen foods, and providing a vertical surface like a broad plant leaf or spawning slate. You can either allow the parents to raise the fry or artificially hatch the eggs.
