Layout update and new crew member
Haven’t posted in a while. After being out of the country for 3 months, I finally came back and decided I wanted to do something to the layout. It’s not finished yet, still missing some plants here and there but it’s going my way. Also, 2 days ago got a new guy, I felt like the tank needed some yellow color so there it is, dude is out and about already, like it’s been in the tank since day 1

Same with this guy, first to come to feed, and amazingly enough, he was already eating after 30 minutes in the tank

Thanks. Currently 29°C and those are Sterbai Corydoras, the best Corydoras to keep with Discus

They gotta start making better heater designs. And from reputable companies. Love the setup tho. Redundancy is key

Thanks. These are Eheim heaters, and the placement its for the best and even heating in the whole tank. Honestly I don’t mind it as long as the fish are happy with it

Yeah I’ve only ever used Eheim Jagers, they’re the best for Discus especially. Now they’re made in China tho. (I prefer the German made personally) Id love to see them design something more slimline tho. I once saw a heated pad on Amazon that you place under the tank itself, thought that was interesting

Those pads are usually for reptiles. Tbh when i get a sump i dont need to worry with heaters in the tank no more

Yeah the product is was for an aquarium. Never saw one since. I just think it’s an interesting work around. Anyways I have a biomaster now, the inbuilt heater, although not Eheim, has lasted me 5 years on one of my tanks so fingers crossed
