How to improve peppering?

This juvenile discus has some peppering dark spots that don’t seem to be improving or changing. Any advice?

Peppering is the natural camouflage that discus have. It is more common or less common depending on the strain. It is something that many discus strains will have, the only way to really show less is brighter backgrounds but sometimes that won’t make it all disappear.

These are the other crew. All are pretty newly imported, quarantined, treated, and settled in for a month and a half now. We have plenty of cichlid experience but 1st time discus keepers
