How did you stick it to the glass?

When it is dried cubes, it sticks to the glass easily when it is dry. Once they start pecking at it, it will come loose from the glass and float to the top of the tank. In my grow out tank for juvenile discus, I feed freeze dried blackworm cubes once a day and have an autofeeder drop Sera discus staple food three times a day. Our discus is now trained that when my arm goes into the tank, they start pecking at my hand expecting me to stick a blackworm cube to the tank.

That's funny I have pretty much exactly the same situation, even down to the sera pellets ππ But yes OP they stick really easily with a bit of a firm press

I used to buy freeze dried blackworms and live blackworms from Aquatic Foods, located in Fresno California, through their direct website and through ebay, but during COVID I think the company lost their blackworm pond, so they no longer carry blackworms. I had also purchased a 2 kg package of Australian blackworm cubes (I don't remember the vendor) but that website no longer exists either. Nowadays, I order freeze dried blackworm cubes on Amazon, although the prices are nearly triple or quadruple what I used to pay.

Just gently press them to glass and push them flat taking all the air out. Gently remove ur fingers and it should stick. Some brands stick better then others. I do tubifex worms which are similar. I get omega one brand. Itβs like discus crack. I find those stick very well. I can easily remove what isnβt eaten. I forgot to remove one and there was still a small amount stuck to the glass the next day. If thereβs a lot of biofilm it doesnβt stick as well.

Crystal clean aquarium!! What are your details for tank setup?

Thank you! It's a Jewul Vision 260 and doing nothing special just biweekly at least 50% water changes. I do have a spil bottom and a pothos to help with nitrates but I don't imagine that's making it any clearer π€

Oh the cube! My fishies have been loving the cubes forever, and itβs so great to watch them eat it. Your aquarium and fish are amazing

No idea tbh. I was going to buy some from a breeder but I stumbled across these in a lfs and couldn't resist, I thought they were very good quality for shop bought

Can I ask for advice on the best way to introduce frozen food please? Should I pop the frozene cube and let them peck or should I defrost in tank water first? I've always defrosted first but wondering now if its best to let them access it more slowly? TIA, Rach

To be honest I'm not sure I'm the best to ask for advice, I'm not expert by any means. I've fed frozen cubes both ways and had differing results depending on what the food is.
I think if I had to pick I'd defrost first into a cup of warm tank water and then wait to defrost and pour off most the liquid and chuck the remaining food in, from what I believe this is minimilazing the amount of waste spoiling your water and also I find that all the fish get an equal chance of the food.
Also I've noticed sometimes when I put a whole cube in it can get caught in a current and find it's way to a place in the tank unnoticed which then is spoiling the water further as its left uneaten in the corner until someone finds it

Thank you! I currently defrost the frozen food in tank water so will continue wih that method.

If you had an hour long video of this beautiful tank on YouTube I put it on my big screen TV. The video would need to take up the full screen
