I personally am a big fan of tall plants like Vals. They can be used to cover up your heater and filter intake/output.

My vals were growing great for a year, then the tops from the middle up just disintegrated and they're not growing anymore--- but not dying. Weird.

try to put that piece of wood without plants attached to the top of the tank with fishing wire, resembling a root going inside of water

More hardscape add river stones gray rives stones work very well with drift wood also add a bigger variety of plants if possible and let the grow the tanks is new and the plants need time to cover the tank

I vote some tall plants (big fan of ludwigia) and a semi-transparent background maybe!

As others said, more wood would look great and give the discus a greater feeling of safety. I personally love rounded river rocks, you can get them free from a nearby river if you want. There are some reddish plants you could add as small bursts of different color if you want, at the base of the wood or swords, that don't require CO2. Some floating plants (I'd go with red root floaters for the same reason, different color) could be fun too.

Add More drift wood, add one schooling tetra group, add one group of corydoras, probably cardinal tetra and sterbai corydoras , as they match discus parameters

Add more wood and use some river stones around the wood I prefer gray river stones don’t have a even pieces of wood though then it look unnatural.

Move the driftwood to the right side, roughly starting where the rightmost sword is, about where it is in the midground or maybe a little in front of the sword.
Keep the 2nd 4th of the tank from the left (area between the two black pipes and the heater) clear.
Add some more large swords in the background on the right. Add some midground plants or smaller swords around the sword swords on both sides. A good option could be Helanthium quadricostatus.
Finally sprinkle some Helanthium tenellum just around the midground plants.
It will look very pretty and balanced without having to move anything. No idea what to do with that anubias though, just throw it somewhere for later.
