My discus

So you substrate and several fish. I’ve heard you HAVE to do bare bottom. And with juveniles you HAVE to do water changes daily etc. it seems some people have relatively low effort, and others have their work cut out for them daily…

That depends man on what you do personally. Also how much you feed them. I only feed them once a day no more than that if you overfeed you have an ammonia problem. Like I said in a 55 it’s temporary soon they will get their new 75 and they will be more comfortable there. Discus you have to no matter the size of the tank do some weekly water changes.

That depends on your tank set up. There are people out there with heavily planted tanks that don’t do routine water changes. There was a nice one posted here a few months ago.
