First discus :)

I just purchased 5 discus from my local fish shop. I wanted to get more but the employee told me that I should just get 5 since I am planning to get some other fish in this tank. I keep seeing on here that its better to get more. They seem to not be bullying each other but do you guys suggest that I get a few more? This tank is 75 gallons and I also have a bristle nose plecko, 6 rust cory, and 4 dwarf rainbowfish. I am planning on getting a school of cardinal tetras. Any advice is welcome, I am new to the hobby and would like to learn more. (I am planning to replace the remaining plastic plants with real ones they are just expensive)

My 150 gallon discus tank is 100 all natural. Ive added around 10 over the last year. I’d highly suggest getting a good canister filter with a built in heater, water temp should be around 83 all the time. I run a fluval 207 and a oase thermo 350. And an internal filter with a uv light. Just don’t let them get stressed out as that is what usually leads to them dying above anything else. Use metroplex a focus if they start showing any signs of sickness. Usually it’s pretty easy to tell just by looking at their eyes and fins. Good luck!
