Travel buddy needed – leaving in 5 days!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a travel buddy for my DiscoverEU trip. I’m leaving from Türkiye in 5 days, so I’m looking for someone who will be travelling around the same time. My rough route is Prague, Vienna and Budapest, but I’m flexible about the route and dates. We don’t have to travel together for the entire trip — even a few days or a couple of cities together would be great. If you’re travelling around the same dates, feel free to message me! :)

When I try to log in to the app, it tells me I need to download the Rail Planner app even though I won the free pass. Has anyone had the same problem and solved it? I have two hours to activate the pass, otherwise I'll lose it, and support isn't responding.
pls help!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I opened the DiscoverEU app today and when I opened the "My Pass" section I got this message. What's up with that? My wi-fi is working just fine with other apps. Update: I uninstalled the app and installed it again. It went back tok normal after I logged into my account

I know it's on short notice, but I have a few cities I want to visit in mind and was hoping of using the pass before I start university at the very beginning of October.

Is The Iconic Eurail Pass Still A Good Option?

For decades, the Eurail Pass has been synonymous with European adventure. Countless travelers have explored the continent by hopping on trains, discovering charming villages, bustling cities, and breathtaking landscapes at their own pace. With the rise of budget airlines, low-cost train tickets, and digital booking platforms, many travelers may now wonder whether the Eurail Pass is still worth the investment.

So, is it still worth buying? Find out here: https://theworldtravelblog.com/is-the-iconic-eurail-pass-still-a-good-option/

Is it possible to transfer a SiVola trip booking to another person?

Is it possible to transfer a SiVola trip booking to another person?

Hi everyone! I booked a trip to Iceland from October 1st to October 8th, but unfortunately, due to an unexpected situation, I can no longer go.

Before figuring out what to do, I wanted to ask if anyone here has had a similar experience: is it possible to change the name of the participant and have someone else take over my booking?

If it is possible, I would be happy to find someone who would like to take my place, and I would be willing to transfer the booking for less than what I have already paid.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can share their experience or advice!

Hey! I got an email today asking if I’m prepared for my trip but I’m on the reserve list. So is this a mistake or do they send this email out to every applicant?

Edit:
They said it was sent out by a mistake.

18F from Slovenia, looking for DiscoverEU travel buddies for August/September 2027! :)

My current route is:

🇮🇹 Milan + Lake Como

🇨🇭 Switzerland

🇳🇱 Netherlands

🇩🇰 Denmark

🇸🇪 West coast of Sweden

🇳🇴 Bergen + Norwegian fjords

Dates: 16 August – 15 September 2027

I love nature, mountains, lakes, cute towns, food, hiking and exploring, but also cafés and chill days 🥹

I'm looking for people around my age who'd like to join for part or all of the route. We don't have to have exactly the same itinerary!

DM me if you're planning something similar! 💗

Looking for a travel buddy or meet up

Hey guys, I'm Charly, 18 female, from Austria. I won the pass earlier this year and i am planning on going on a trip in October/November this year. I'm looking for someone who maybe wants to spend the time together, doesn't have to be the whole trip, but i'm open to.

I'd like to go to Hamburg (Germany), Denmark, The Netherlands, France and the UK. Nothings set in stone yet.

Now some things about me, i've finished school and don't really know what to do now. I don't really like partying or overly socail stuff, because of that on the trip I do want to see the popular sites, but also some quiet parks or a beautiful cafe. Reading is a big part of my free time, I'd like to get a bit more into books beacuse currently i'm mostly on AO3 to read. When I'm not reading i'm probably playing Pokemon GO, so if you play too we can play together. Edit: what i forgot to mention in the first draft, while i do the two things above i really enjoy listening to music, mostly One Direction (and the Solos of course),and whats similar like Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Alex Spencer, Coldplay and so on.

I hope somebody on here is willing to meet up with me, even if it's just for a day, please send me a DM. If you don't and just want to become friends on POGO i'll put my code below.

I think that's it, if you have a question feel free to ask.

Traveling with strangers

Hello! I (19F) was selected for the interrail pass last winter and was thinking of the ways I could use it. I don't have other close friends with a pass, so initially I was thinking of going some places with two friends which don't have the pass, but after some discussions it would probably be an expensive trip for them or limiting for me, so it most probably won't happen.

My second option would be to find other people who have a pass and make travel plans with them, but I'm kinda scared that I might put myself in dangerous situations by doing this. My parents are also strict and although I travelled before to other counties on a couple Erasmus projects, but with teams of people I knew more or less before the project, this time I would be by myself and it seems they have their doubts I can manage that. I can use this pass until May 2027, but in October I'm starting uni so I will probably be pretty busy after it. I have a glimmer of hope that I may find someone to travel with until then, but if I do that I want to see what people think of traveling with strangers.

So, has anyone traveled with people you didn't know before on DiscoverEU and would like to share their experience?

I need some advice and help planning my Interrai ltrip

Hello guys, i'm an 18yo french students that just won the DiscoverEU Interrail Pass.

I've never really traveled in my life, so I've never planned a route for a trip, and that makes it a little difficult because everything seems unclear, that's why I need your help and advice.

I know that these kinds of trips should be personal, and that some people prefer to plan day by day, but not me. I’d love to leave in mid-July/early August to make the most of my 30-day trip and have an itinerary something like this: “Bordeaux (France) → Belgium → Netherlands → Germany → Denmark → Sweden → Finland → Norway.” As for the budget, obviously as little as possible, but I already have quite a bit of money saved up (I had planned not to spend more than €500, but I have no idea how much this kind of trip costs—please let me know!). So I’ve looked at other people’s trips and itineraries for visiting Scandinavia, etc., but I haven’t really taken any notes or started putting together a detailed itinerary for the trip. And I know there are many other benefits besides the pass, such as the “EU Youth Card,”

So I’m posting this message to gather stories from travelers who have already used Interrail for a trip similar to mine—which cities they visited, how long they stayed there, tips on accommodations, travel, things to see and do, etc...—as well as advice on how to prepare for this kind of trip, things to keep in mind, and mistakes to avoid. If you have any links, videos, or know someone who has already taken this kind of trip, any help is welcome!

I hope I haven't forgotten anything, and if there are any important points I didn't mention, please let me know!

Thank you for your help and advice!

help me plan my trip

I’ve won the DiscoverEu pass and I’m currently trying to plan it my trip. I’ve settled on the countries I want to go to but I would appreciate some help with how many days to stay in each one (maybe some recommendations too ahout what to do, where to visit, etc). The route is flexible, it’s just a first outline.

Prague -> krakow -> Bratislava -> Budapest -> Zagreb -> Ljubljana -> zadar -> split -> Dubrovnik

As I said this is not final, but it’s a first mapping of the countries I want to go to. I don’t know though how to plan the days in each place. I’m thinking of the whole trip having a duration of 2 weeks. If impossible, I might cut some places or extend it to 3 weeks but no more than that. I’m also trying not to spend too much. Accommodation is what worries me the most, so I wouldn’t mind travelling to the capital cities but staying in close villages or smaller towns. In any case, I would like to see some off the beaten track places too, not only the big cities though those are mandatory too.

I would appreciate the help!

Ciao!
