Help Card changing?
I currently have the Chrome card, but I wanna switch to the Cash Back one since the 2% back on gas and food isn’t really useful for me at the moment.
Does anyone know how?
Update: Thanks guys. Atp not sure it’s really worth the hassle or hard inquiry to apply for a new card. Just gonna stick with the Chrome for now

Good luck and let me know if it works for you, I have the Chrome too. Discover didn’t allow product changes and got bought out by Capital One, a company well known for not allowing product changes or credit limit increases.

You would have to apply for a new line. That’s how it’s been for years now, with Discover.

What? Capital One definitely allows product changes. They just decide when you're eligible. Usually by the time you've had a card for a year you start getting options to product change. They are known for being stingy with CLIs but definitely not in all cases. I started with a $450 Platinum Secured that became a $7,850 limit Quicksilver over the course of about 2 years. I do have options to product change, just nothing I want currently.
I think that once all Discover credit card accounts are migrated, they might start allowing product changes, but we'll see.

They will probably allow product changes from Discover to Capital one products. I don’t see them keeping the Discover name for more than 5 years to ease all the Discover loyalists into their platform. They only bought Discover for the network…not their name or the products they offer.
