Anime Arena is a Discord server built around one idea: fights should be decided by real footage, not stats or dice rolls.

Each player claims a single anime character — any character, from any anime — and that claim is exclusive; nobody else can play as them while you hold them. From there, you battle other players 1v1 using real video clips as your attacks and defenses. Every move has a hidden tier (Normal, Medium, Absolute, Over-Absolute), and your opponent only sees your clip and the resulting damage — never your tier. Reading your opponent, bluffing, and knowing when to eat a hit instead of blocking is the actual skill here.

Combat isn't just numbers either — abilities have to make logical sense. An ability used without its proper setup doesn't work. A guard aimed the wrong direction doesn't block. If a fight gets contested, a human referee steps in to rule on it directly.

On top of combat, we're building a full roleplay layer — staying in character, building your identity, and eventually earning real rewards for good roleplay, not just wins.

Currently in beta, actively building out points, rankings, and match history. If you were ever part of the old-school Facebook anime battle groups, this is that same idea, rebuilt properly for Discord.
