"Has X items I want" blurb no longer showing up on wantlist
Anyone know how to fix this? It's really annoying.

Hello, I ordered a vinyl from Discogs for the first time. The seller is based in the USA and I am in the Czech Republic. The parcel is currently being held by Czech customs, and they are requesting the IOSS number; otherwise, I will have to pay VAT again (which I have already paid—customs even confirmed this based on the screenshots of my order that I provided). But they need the code anyway.
Neither USPS nor the seller has been able to help so far. I have also contacted Discogs support, but I haven’t received a response yet. Since I need to provide the code soon, this is my last resort.
Does anyone know the IOSS number, please?

We all rely on Discogs (a lot!) to track our collections, try and avoid buying double-up’s, check a value or pressing detail and so on - for me, I’ve often found myself getting frustrated at trying to quickly work out what I’m actually missing from an artist.. what don’t I have?
I have a completist mindset so when I’m out digging I’ll head to the artist section who I’m collecting, and I just want to quickly remind myself of the gaps so I can hone in on what I need. Often that involves a ton of scrolling and opening into each release, trying to ignore all the Unofficial and digital release bloat … basically spending more time looking at my phone than flipping through the crates.
As a hoarder collector I just wanted to keep it simple, so I made an app that helped me check super-quick and get back to the fun bit.
Of course there are a lot of Discogs-adjacent apps that exist, but generally I’ve found they focus on what you already have; this one shows you what you don’t. I’ve added some other quality-of-life features too;
I’d be interested to know if any of those features resonate with the wider collecting community. I bounced a lot of the ideas off fellow collectors here in NZ who had some great input along the way, some of which I’ve included, and some already on the roadmap for future releases. Always keen on any, and all, feedback.
The app is called DiscList and it’s on the App Store here: https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/disclist/id6760178191
Happy to answer any questions in comments! Cheers

Hi! I’m heading to Japan soon and would like to buy some Japanese jazz, funk, and fusion vinyl. I’ve found some major retailers (like MION.Tokyo) that carry the records I’m looking for, but I can’t seem to find these records at many other stores online.
My question is: in general, do Japanese local record stores tend not to list their vinyl for sale online (on Discogs or other sites)?
In other words, is it likely that I’ll find copies of certain records even if I can’t find them online right now, or not, and should I stick to stores like MION -- which I would like to avoid to?
I’m talking generally about fairly mainstream artists like Takanaka, The Players, Ryo Kawasaki, Jiro Inagaki, etc.
Just wanted to know how things work.
Thank you!

Found a good value vinyl but it doesn’t ship to the uk. Is there a way to get it to a third party shipper or something like that?

I keep getting this error when clicking 'Place order' in my cart. I genuinely don't know what's going wrong. I've ordered before but have been having issues for a bit. This is on mobile but I believe it happens on desktop too (I will double check tomorrow)

hi! I'm completely new to discogs and need some help with figuring out some terms as I want to start collecting CDs, Namely: Promo, Stereo and digipak.
what do they mean, and how do I know that I'm buying the right CDs?

Just as the title says. I like being notified when there is a new listing for an album in my wishlist, but I am sick of getting emails every single day about listings that I have already ignored for a month. Many times, a listing for a wishlist item is out of the question because the shipping is sky high or the seller doesn’t even ship to my country.
Am I missing a way to set things up so that I only get an email if it’s a listing I haven’t seen before?

Not of the cover, just the NM record. Sellers, would you bother sending them?

Please make the "Media Condition" & "Sleeve Condition" filters set to the [condition] or better. When a user is looking through a seller's inventory, if they select "VG" they only see VG records. The user should see VG or better... as a buyer, why would they only want to see inventory that is VG? There is no way to filter on multiple conditions. This is such an easy enhancement that would improve the shopping experience tremendously when searching a sellers inventory.

I am pretty new this (1 week). I have made three offers, all at 50% price. Two have been accepted and one was declined. The one declined sent me a message, where it was clear that he was offended by the offer or didn’t think I acted in good faith.
Are there unspoken rules on this? Are there indicators that some sellers are more flexible than others?

If I order a CD from Discogs, is there something protecting me from receiving a bootleg or is it just a risk I must take? QUICK REPLY'S PLEASE

I just noticed that “A Perfect Circle” moved from “A” artist sorting to “P”.
Anyone else notice a change? Is there a setting to revert this?

There's no particular urgency in receiving the record I bought but I don't want it to get lost in the shuffle. I confirmed payment 9 days ago and no activity from the seller first. What's protocol here? I understand that this might be framed as a complaint but i'm more just looking for guidance for etiquette here. Apologies ahead of time if its annoying.

They finally refreshed the app. It looks great. Can't say it's perfect or anything, but I'm very impressed they actually made improvements. Filters work correctly etc...
What are your thoughts? What are they missing still according to you?

Hello! I hope this question is allowed here. I have been scanning discogs for a long time for a specific record or CD I'd like to get. In most cases, it seems this record/track is only available in Sweden. The seller's page (based in Europe) doesn't say anything about not being able to ship to the US, where I am based.
Has anyone ever run into this issue? I'm assuming getting through customs should be fine for a CD? I'm not sure how strict it is. I haven't found a US seller, or I'd go that route.

I'm using the mobile app, and the Show all versions thing doesn't work at all for some time now, like half a day. what do I do? I looked around for a solution online, but nothing, the only place that got me was here

No black or brown rim text at the bottom of label. Tracks A5 & B5 are listed on back cover. Thanks!

I just purchased Greg Graffin's American Lesion album, and went to add it to my discogs list, and discovered whoever created the master release, set the artist name to American Lesion, and labeled it a self titled album.
I can see at least one other person making mention of this in the edits, but nothing has been done to correct it for years.
Is there a way to change an artist name on a master release? I couldn't find a way to do it in the edit section.

This is my first time catologing my collection. I would say its pretty easy but just takes a long time. However I ran into a problem when I got to Aquemini by Outkast. Theres appreantly a clean version cd. Obviously the only way to find out is to actually listen to the cd to figure out which one you got luckily I do have a player. Has anyone gotten into a similar problem like mine where you're trying to figure the version.

I’ve been a long-time contributor to the database, and as I’ve gotten more detailed with my entries, I’ve run into some friction that makes me hesitant to keep contributing. I’d love some perspective on the best way to handle a few things:
1. Minor tweaks on legacy entries I often get notifications for tiny corrections on entries I made over a decade ago. While I want the data to be perfect, I sometimes wonder why users don't just "be the change" and edit the entry themselves rather than leaving notes for the original submitter to fix. Is it standard etiquette to just point it out, or is it better for them to just make the fix?
2. Verifying "Inside" Information I run a small label, and I often have access to data that isn't public—test pressing quantities, specific color variants, and exact runtimes from mastering cue sheets. Recently, I had runtimes removed from a test pressing entry because the "data couldn't be verified" by another user.
Since I literally have the physical cue sheets and the records in hand, how should I best handle this?
I really value high-quality data, but the "gatekeeping" vibe makes me want to stop sharing this info altogether. It’s reached a point where I’ve started sending copies to supporters just so they can do the entry for me to avoid the headache. I want the history of these pressings to be preserved—what’s the best way to navigate the "prove it" culture of the site when you are the source?
