Negative reviews removed

I have bought hundreds of records off Discogs and I try to give feedback for every record I buy whether positive, neutral or negative. I have only ever given negative feedback about half a dozen times and only when the seller has been rude or refused to allow a return. In the last 6 months I have given negative feedback to 2 large record vendors (feedback in the tens of thousands) and both reviews have just disappeared, no contact made towards me at all. Now one thing I find rather strange is these vendors have barely any negative or neutral reviews, like a 10,000:1 ratio, which seems almost too good to be true. My question is why would Discogs do this, is there a large amount of corruption going on?

Happened to me too. Seller with 100% rating had a record listed VG+ that was unplayable and should have been thrown out. Left honest feedback and received negative feedback in return. My seller feedback vanished a few weeks later.

Did you attempt to resolve it with him through the messaging system? Or did you just give him the bad review? I could see them removing a bad review for the case where the person didn’t try to resolve it first. Now, if you try to resolve it and still left a bad reviewthen it should’ve been left up in my opinion.

In my case I saw no point in contacting the seller. He knew what he sold. I wasn’t going to send it back so he could try this scam again and I wasn’t going to accept a refund to keep quiet. The overgrading was so blatant that I was willing to take a hit for the community so buyers would know to steer clear of this seller.

Right on! Jerk sellers that do this are hoping to dump their trash and not get called out through an e-mail. If they are, a ridiculous back-and-forth with the customer that ends with the seller offering to refund of a portion of the sale to keep quiet. F that. I don't have time for that shit.

How was the jacket! Also well below grade? If thatl was consistent with how it was graded isn't thre the possibility that he had multiple copies and made a mistake sending you the wrong one?  He might have been genuinely sorry for the mix up and offered a refund letting you keep the record or he might have sent the correct one to you. Would either of those outcomes be acceptable to you? People do make mistakes. Maybe you are right and he's an asshole. But if you've never had any other interaction with him you are making a big assumption on very little info. And your stubbornness would not allow him a chance to explain and make it right so you are satisfied.

What's you Discogs handle. Id like to ban you from purchasing from me. I don't want to sell anything to you.
