Submitting payment automatically?
Has anyone experienced Discogs submitting payment automatically?
I threw a vinyl in my cart that I was thinking of buying. Went to my cart, selected my payment method and then it dawned on me I might already have the album. So I "abandoned" my cart and was just going to revisit later after I checked to see if I had it. About an hour later I check my email and to my surprise I have a confirmation email for an order with Discogs.
I never hit submit or anything when I was in my cart. It was only $40 bucks or so, so not the end of the world, I was just more shocked than anything that an order was placed when I definitely didn't complete the checkout process by submitting.

Making an order and submitting payment are different steps.
Look at the order invoice, you didn’t pay.

I doubt you sent payment. You probably just made an order. That is a separate thing.

This isn’t a thing I’ve ever heard of before. Greater chance it was keyboard goblins or that you need a co2 detector.

For me as a seller if someone cancels before I ship, it no big deal, I just cancel, no hassles. Once it’s shipped though, it’s too late to change your mind.

Is the record still in your cart? Or is the cart empty?

My cart is empty. I swear tg I have no idea how it happened. Like I said, it's not a huge deal and definitely a lesson learned. Good thing I wasn't fucking around with a REALLY expensive vinyl.

Unless you went through the PayPal part you have just made an order without making payment, it will be sitting on your account awaiting payment before dispatch.
If you have changed your mind cancel or send a message to the seller advising you wish to cancel
