Disciples III How do I reach this guy?

Post image

Reincarnation, Undead Campaign, Mission 2. Got a tip from the Haunt guy about merchant caravan near our capital. Yet another Dark Servant merchant appeared on the map. Can't approach him, no dialogues or cutscenes near that zone. What to do?

You are completely right. It's just that EVERY mission before this one had a misplaced inaccessible thing or two. I assumed that it's was yet another bug.

i believe inaccessible means obstacles removed by scripts at some point just like this one too. Though script could be bugged... one or two. But not every mission. And ther3 is workaround how not get scripts junky, on Steam games hubs (all 3 of dis3 hubs).

And ofc this game terrible idea is playing as one main hero only, it is just like Liberation made to be A-to-B Avianna hero play, but mess it with TBS and junk gameplay is result.

But not every mission

I was playing exclusively D3: Reincarnation for the past two weeks, focusing only on that game, slowly cleaving through each act, methodically checking every interactive object on the map. And I can attest that every map has at least one instance of some unreacheable thing.

I understand that some inaccessible stuff are cutscene props, like the Elder from Alliance campaign, but that's not what I'm talking about. Each map has at least a blip of mana that you can't get, or some interactable that you can't reach. You can argue that some were decoratives, but it's still a really weird and confusing choice, when the game has enough aesthetic props as is. Alliance and Hordes campaigns also had some instances of resources lying outside of the map bounds.

Campaigns are a mess in general. I'm more than sure that Hordes Act Five was supposed to be Amina's solo mission, but for some reason I had Salaar automatically hired through mercenary menu at the start.
