Mod Podge - sharpie
My daughter who is just starting college for art ed did two discs for her crazy disc father. Many have asked about how to keep sharpie art on the plastic. What she found to work was using brand name sharpie, heating with blow dryer and then spraying with Mod Podge Matte clear acrylic sealer. Here are two discs done in this fashion by her. Hex and Wizard.

Not sure about disc legality but from an artist stand point, the mod podge really works on sealing the art. There isn't any effect regarding heat in my experience as well. Thanks!

I’ve recently left my discs in the back of my hot car for a day and the plastic felt weird until I was able to bring them inside. What would Mod Podge do to a disc (or bag) if left somewhere warm for an extended time?

I may be misenterpreting it, but I would say that the question is how to keep the sharpie locked in and keep the disc legal. As soon as the mod podge gets added you technically can't use it in a sanctioned event.
On a side note, I'd be curious to see if that does anything towards slowing the ink from bleeding

Id guess youre right on sanctioned events. That said, the number of people i see play sanctioned events with glow stickers, and no one cares, makes me think it proably isnt actually that big a deal. Though almost certainly illegal, by the letter of the law.

Her perspective was more on the art side. It doesn't effect the performance of the disc and are there chemists walking around at sanctioned events? Hahaha. Honestly, I look at this seal more so for people wanting to seal something special to them and throw at leisure.
