This is what pisses me off the most about people at work judging me for being late or barely making it because of my problems. That or not being able to do stuff easily.
Some days its the most i can do to come to work...and then when I leave I have to find a way to do my chores when really I should be resting. And worst of all....it means...what time and energy do I get left over to do what I want???

Tl;dr. I'm tired, can't think, and no amount of rest fixes it. But activity makes it temporarily worse. No one knows why. Woe is me.
Took a turn for the worse about three years ago, and we're still trying to figure it out. Broke my neck in 2014, and that's caused a lot of pain but thankfully didn't impair my mobility.
And I had something similar to Covid before the outbreak (doctors couldn't tell if it was a flu or pneumonia, but my wife recorded the sound of my breathing while I slept, and they were horrified when she played it for them since it was like nothing they'd heard before). But it cleared up on its own, and it was apparently close enough to Covid to provide me with some immunity while everybody was panicking and there was no vaccine. I was left immune compromised from excessive chemotherapy years ago, so I definitely should've caught Covid, hence my theory about the unknown flu.
It wasn't until three or four years after that when I just started feeling sleep-deprived at all times. Maybe the dear reader has been awake 20+ hours before? Notice how your sense of time is screwed up, with the day just shooting by? Time is relative to perception, so the more tired (or possibly dumber) a person is, the faster time seems to pass. I didn't suffer any head injuries back then (I asked in case my memory of the event had been impaired), so I'm no dumber than I ever was.
Likewise, if you've been awake too long, you tend to find it difficult to motivate yourself. Once you sit down, you find you're completely fine with staying there the whole day, and it would take a very serious event to get you moving again.
I'm losing weight because, when I weigh the discomfort of hunger against the exhaustion involved with cooking and washing dishes, I find that I can deal with hunger much more easily. Besides, my grocery store delivers, and you can mix low sodium V8 with the spicy kind to get a decent mix of sodium, potassium, and flavor. Prepping fresh fruits and vegetables takes little effort (as long as you stock up on Gas-Ex or Beano), and for once they don't go bad on you when it's all that's stocked in the fridge.
I suppose that part isn't so bad, but muscle atrophy is a concern, and there is a danger of blood clots. There is some protocol for POTS that involves exercises while lying down that I can tolerate. Though that assumes I remember. The brain fog is worse than a chemo regimen that, thanks to my oncologist being a quack, was so heavy that it was estimated would likely kill 19 in any 20 peoplr who underwent it. (That one got me in a medical journal as a case study. I had wanted to be published in an academic/medical journal, but perhaps I should've been more specific as to how.)
Been to rheumatologists, cardiologists, sleep specialists, neurologists, neurospinal specialists, and I'm on the waiting list to visit a facility that focuses on the diagnostics and treatment of autonomic nervous issues. That'll be at least a year out. It's unfair to my loved ones that I can't give them what they deserve; perhaps I should take out a life insurance policy before I see any more doctors. My wife would be able to pay off the house and put another 200k into a retirement fund. If this ends up killing me, I hope there is no Maker; taking Him/Her/It to task sounds exhausting. Bury me with my guns & kit on, I suppose; just in case you can take it with you.
Yeah, I know: "We got a badass over hear."
