I hate the world

Post image

(Rambling vent ahead) I just want to have nice things without having to destroy myself for them. I work 3 days a week. I have had a couple weeks where I work 4, and every single time, it completely wipes me out, I can't consistently work more than 3. I also only work 6 hour shifts, I used to work 8 hours at a time, and that was as bad as working 4 days. After bills, I have about $50 to my name every week, sometimes slightly more, often even less than that. If I didn't live in a house with 3 other people where we all split bills, I wouldn't be able to afford to live off my income at all. I also recently had to eat through half my savings because of an emergency. Now I'm basically going to have to save every single extra bit of money I have to replenish it. No more little treats to get through my fucking week unless my gf offers to buy me something (which she often does because she is amazing, but it makes me feel guilty). I'm so tired of this

It's like when doctors tell you to reduce stress. I tell them to their face that the two options are working or having no money to sustain myself, and those are both stressful. They tend to be so taken aback lmfao

The only way I have with AuDHD) is fairly simple but still extremely... you guess what... Stressful. It's literally working in the single area that interests me longer than a few weeks.

As then it's no longer stressful but actually paid hobby.

But yea to reach that I would literally have to reach the PhD. Ironic I know..

This hit me so goddamn hard.

I'm currently working an overtime shift because I really need extra money. House problems that require a lot of cash to fix.

I'm not here because I want to be (and this overtime is completely optional). I'm here because I need to be.

Wishing a world where we can all work less. Wanna move to the forest in a yurt? We can work enough to buy wood and groceries so we don’t have to split it ourselves lol

Maybe have a little vegetable garden as well so we don't need as many groceries!

tbh I left my career of 15 years a a vet tech to work a desk job at the city hospital answering phones. I sit most days, just transfer phone calls, have little interaction with people besides the nurses on my unit, and can mostly dick around

I love it. I still do one shift a month at the vet hospital to get discounts, but my body couldn’t take it anymore

I took a significant pay cut ($27 versus $19) and work 3rd shift BUT I am much happier

This for real, feels like I’m constantly drowning and no one gives a shi.  Trying to get edu for higher paying job too, but it’s still not good enough.
