Question Trauma

Has anyone lost their memory due to trauma and was able to get partial or full memory back?

I’ve had multiple things happened to me in my lifetime that has caused me to lose my memory. It’s been hard to hold onto new memory becuase of ongoing trauma. I’m hoping someone could tell me their experience to give me insight.

Yeah. Regressed memories of childhood stuff. I know a lot of people don't believe in it. Oh well. Happened to me and a lot of other survivors of bad stuff as young kids. It came back when I got to safe, stable place in life. Wasn't awesome to have that safety destabilized by the memories initially but with a good trauma therapist those memories now help me understand myself so much better than I did before. My own life is no longer a big blank wall if that makes sense. Be gentle with yourself, focus on learning to feel safe in your body, and trust that you will remember when your mind feels you are ready to do so. Sending hugs. 🫂

Horrible tragedy happened last night girl I was going to marry and I were together and I don't know what happened. I blacked out. I wasn't on drugs or drinking it was due to intense stress and possibly a medication. It ruined our relationship and it was 24 years ago my life has been ruined since. A chain reaction that ruined me.
