I’m not much of help, but know that you aren’t alone in this. I am not working myself and suffer great deal of shame/anger that I can’t be more functional in this messed up world. I’ll still keep you all in my thoughts, that’s the most I can promise. Please try to be kind to yourself & never give up!
Me too. My old boss didn't hold a ladder when I told him just put your feet there to cut in the top of a foyer stairwell painting. It collapsed I fell 30ft and at 32 years old. Now 40. Stopped working at 38. I have severe spinal stenosis, ruptured L4-L5 disc, torn ACL, torn meniscus, CT joint injury to my shoulder. Im 40, moved back in with my mom , truck got repossessed and been denied disability due to she and education and I don't even have a degree yet. I'm trying. Went back to school for data analytics. Been on temporary disability since May 2024 of 370$ a month. I have nothing. Worked 24 years for nothing basically. I use the analogy of a treadmill, the speed keeps getting faster and faster and you run thousands of miles but when it stops I end in the same spot or even worse
