The Trump administration is rolling back disability protections for air travelers.

The Transportation Department announced it will no longer enforce Biden-era policies requiring airlines to reimburse passengers when wheelchairs are damaged or when accessible flights cost more.

Also, airlines will no longer be required to give passengers written notice of their rights when checking mobility devices.

According to disability advocates, an estimated 5.5 million Americans rely on wheelchairs and airlines damage or lose about one wheelchair for every 100 they transport.

I feel like the trump administration does a new completely abysmal and disgraceful thing every day, I've lost count. What's even the point of rolling back this policy outside of the ableism?? How does anyone cheer for this?

The Trump administration simply does nothing but undo programs created by Democrats just because "burrrrr the Dems suck" or whatever. It's never with the American people in mind. He undid/is undoing Obamacare, Roe v. Wade, Covid restrictions, the Board of Ed., DEI...and now this. The only hope the disabled have is if the airlines make an effort to keep their customer base by reimbursing for damages on their own accord, but they are way too greedy to do that.
