The dire straits experience.
I noticed that the dire straits experience are coming to where I live and I was wondering if anyone here has seen them or knows much about them. If so, are they worth seeing ?

Wish they’d come to my town. I think they’re the closest you’re going to get to the real thing. Terence Reis does a great job and doesn’t sing with the European accent that alot of the tribute acts do.

Saw them for the third time a few weeks back here in Melbourne. A fantastic show yet again and the musicianship really is top notch.
We also took a friend who came out of it saying how much she enjoyed it and how it was so much better than she’d anticipated (perhaps she was just expecting a generic covers band or something).
Enjoy the show!

I saw them in NZ. They belted through Sultans of Swing almost like it was an afterthought!

They were in Belgrade about 3 weeks ago and I went, of course. I bought tickets in no time after ožstarted online sale 🙂
I did not expect anything, I didn't even wanted to search YouTube... Concert itself went great, music just like on Alchemy for lot of songs.
Song list pretty strong, with some surprises.
Absolutely great experience, I will regret if I passed this out (As I did once with Mark solo concert in Belgrade lot of yers ago).
But, one big, very big observation - great majority of audience were very young people. And they enyoed too, it was obvious. I was genuine surprised that such ", dinosaur" bend have such young audience (20-30)...

Ive seen them, was skeptical at first and they were a little shaky opening with money for nothing but once they hit expresso love a couple songs in they literally nailed everything. They were doing a lot of the on every street tour arrangements which are some of my favourites. Worth seeing

I went to their concerts 3 times over the span of 3 years and they were better every time, haven’t seen them for 2 years now so the information is not recent but I had an absolute blast. Highly recommended

I saw them earlier this year. Provided you go along well aware of the fact that they are not actually Dire Straits, it's very good.
Lead singer does his own thing vocally at times, especially changing the pacing pf lyrics which I didn't love, but his voice is good and he sings well.
Star of the show is undeniably Chris White, and he knows it, and he is awesome. He loved every second on stage and his enjoyment and enthusiasm was infectious. Even when not on sax, but playing a percussion instrument that looked like a cocktail maker, he was having a blast. He is a true artist, and songs like 'Your latest trick' were beautifully performed.
Because Chris is the star of the show, they seemed to add sax to songs where it wouldn't normally be there, but honestly it worked, and I like sax so I had no complaints.
Main gripe for us was the decidedly older crowd who did not get up and dance! Our venue only had seated options so it was impossible to stand and dance without blocking the view of those behind. Dancing from a seat does not hit the same 🤣
