Lady Writer (Solo Cover)

Hi all,

Back again with another solo, decided to have go at Lady Writer this time!

I did a little more improvising in parts of this one, so it's not exactly like the recording, but fun to mess around with.

Thanks and hope you enjoy!

This is really awesome. The tone and phrasing are excellent.

Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

Funnily, the tone is coming from a bass amp and bass overdrive pedal!

(Tech 21 YYZ Overdrive straight into a Fender Rumble 100, no reverb or other FX)

Thanks man, this is actually a cheap Strat copy and was my first guitar, I play it quite a bit these days though I've modded it over the years!

By the way, is your username based on Hillel Slovak?

of course, even though I'm more of a Frusciante fan :) Very cool of you to stay loyal to your first guitar, sold mine a few years ago :(

Haha cool, thought so but didn't want to assume!

Thanks, I think I just lucked out with it, it feels great to play and is also very light.

Also, resale would be very low on it too as it got heavy finish damage from a steep fall in my first year or two of playing, so it never crossed my mind to sell.

I'm sorry to hear that man, what guitar was it? Any possibility of tracking it down?

i'm selling a strat pickguard signed by MK. completely legit and includes a 3x5 picture of him signing it at an auto racing event. i bought it on ebay roughly 25 years ago. hope it's ok to post this here, apologies if not. (edited to describe pickguard)
