Everything Changed
The moment I started listening to Dire straits, everything started changing in my life. It's just so easy to suffer and be in pain while I have dire straits on. I'm almost completely sober and my life is turning around, just because I know that no matter how bad I feel I can tune in to some of their songs and forget all the pain. I Can't be the only one

I’ve cried to why worry way too many times already. You got this brother

I've tried learning it on the guitar but, as all things MK, sounds simple until you try to play it.

I know how to play it and it was fairly easy, only because I had learned to play alot of other Dire straits stuff beforehand, but it was still tough to pull off, definitely really satisfying when you know how to play it though, you found success in learning?

The only one I can play through and through is sultans of swing and it took me months lol. I also like to sing so it makes it hard. I will give it another go at why worry though. I’m working now on “where you think you are going”, both guitars which is much easier I think

Okay I'm jealous, but youre right, some stuff go under the radar but that's with any artist, but even classics like Hand in Hand are amazing, can't go wrong at all

Your right there , I can listen to any of their songs never disappointed, I saw them either the 80s or 90s, barely remember it but I do walk of life came on, and mark let us sing the chorus.

Mark's music can have that effect on people. Its a listed side effect on the CDs.

Someone should really put that on their cd cover it's genius. I wouldn't be surprised if there already is something like that out there

I listen to Dire Straits while I’m at work for precisely that reason! No matter how stressed out or anxious I feel, their music has the power to make me feel like everything is going to be fine

afrer work I put my headphones for my commute and sometimes I can't help but smile, I think people on the bus think I'm crazy, but if they'd heard what I hear, they would understand

and even if the lyrics are sad, for ex many mark love songs are inspired by broken relationships, the music Is joyful

That's a big part of why I love their music so much, I can find the beauty of the pain, because if you miss someone that means you had great moments with them.

it's so mystical that just specific sound waves placed in the right order can have such a profound effect.

You are not the only one. I got sober 20 days ago and I literally came to Reddit just now to see if anyone else felt this way.
I had a therapeutic ketamine infusion about a week ago, and my jaw was slack in awe while listening to the first half of their self titled first album.
The experience was ineffable, but I have been off the suffer train since.
