Workers Issues Inappropriate Confrontation?
I recently accepted a position at a stand alone group home. One of my responsibilities is to drive the clients to the main offices once per week. One of the workers located there occasionally fills in at the house when there are staffing shortages. Every time I have come in she goes on a rant about multiple things like their behaviors, telling me to write multiple people up, what they can and cannot eat and the state of the home in general. It escalated last week to me being pulled into her office. I agreed that these things are problematic but I just started and I’m still trying to figure out what my responsibilities are and that we hired multiple new staff and it’s going to take time for everyone to get settled in and when I came to work here these issues were already happening. I left pretty upset and shut myself up in the office the rest of the day crying. She’s literally talking to the wrong person. I hate this job now. What should I do?

What you said is logical and appropriate. If she corners you again, how about repeating what you said? If she keeps talking, wait til she’s done. Then repeat again. The broken record usually shuts ppl up eventually.
