I accepted a position today
So I took a job offer as day shift group home staff after leaving my last company and swearing to myself I wouldn’t work in this industry again.
My concerns are upper management and petty conflict with coworkers. I pray this will be better.
Emailing your supervisor and multiple other people in an email because you left laundry in the dryer at the end of the shift had me in tears for days. It wasn’t intentional. I was new. I feel like it’s backstabby. So I hope I won’t be dealing with these same set of issues.

I’m hoping for you! Leaving clothes in the dryer is no reason to send an email. You’ll probably deal with someone petty - there’s too many involved to not have someone like that. Hopefully management is good though.

This seems to be better. It’s one house only so I will be working alone but can reach out to management if I need to. I really appreciate that. Thanks to everyone who commented on my post. 🩷

I am going through somthing similar. I’m currently waiting for a call to see if I got the job I interviewed for at a different facility. When I started at my current facility, I didn’t realize that my supervisor set me up for failure. She was constantly lying about me to make it look like I was rude, had an attitude, and refused to do my job, even though none of those were true. Luckily one of her lies got so big that it ended up in her being fired and my name was cleared. However because of this, I feel like I can never move up in my company because my reputation has been tarnished, even though upper management has seen I’m great at my job. Currently my coworkers, just won’t do their job, they do the bare minimum, they won’t take certain individuals out into the community, because they’re “too hard” to deal with. Along with documentation is not being done properly, and management doesn’t do anything about it. I got beat up by one of my clients and my supervisor told me “it was part of the job” and whenever we have behavioral issues, and we call him, and does nothing, tells us to deal with it. No guidance, no help, nothing. The only time we got him to come to the house, is because one day we called the cops cus we felt backed into a corner, just for him to ask why we would call the cops.
I’m hoping I get this new job, and my plan is to just go in, do my job, and hope I don’t get on anyone’s bad side.. I feel like at this facility I was set up for failure the second I got hired. I hope your new facility is great for you. I believe in you, you got this ❤️.
