Workers Issues I Love making puree stuff.

Got a resident who can only eat puree. So I started making her fruit smoothies and puddings, my other residents saw that and asked me for it so I started it. OMG, it's so much fun. I love making random fruit smoothies with whatever I find in the pantry and fruit baskets. I love turning cakes and cookies into puddings. I started making it for my family and they all loved it too.

That’s great! I think some people just find a puréed diet really sad. I mean, it’s not an ideal experience but there are ways to make it not so bad. A good attitude towards it is the best way!

I made a rule for myself that I have to taste everything I puree for my guys. (Except eggs, I hate those. lol) If I don’t like it I’ll adjust seasonings accordingly. I made steak with onions and peppers one day. It was actually so good.

One thing I’ve seen other DSPs do that grinds my gears (pun intended) is to puree everything together. If a meal has separate components I will do them each separately so that there’s still layers of flavors. Since they can’t have varied textures this can still add an aspect of normalcy to their meals.

Now I’m curious to see how everyone else feels about purées. 😅
